82 Huge place with a lot of taps and bottles; to be visited |
72 Reasonable but fairly busy place to stop for a beer in the city centre. Mostly Belgium beers, but a small selection of Dutch, 1st Groningen beer for me so I was happy. Good food served & good service. |
66 Fairly large place, insane busy in the evening, difficult to relax and chill with a beer. Decent selection of Belgian and Dutch Belgian styles with smaller pours available. Not a ticker-friendly place, but decent if you want to get trashed on good beer for a reasonable price. Not particularly recommended. |
74 Visited on 19th March 2019. Situated in an area with a few other bars and opposite Coop is this place. Nice, traditional venue with a wooden interior and split over 3 levels. Decor is pretty decent and has a nice ambiance. Beer range is a split between Belgian macro stuff and a decent range of local beers in bottles and on tap. Service was good and friendly, prices decent and the food, although didn't try it, looked good. Quite liked the place and would recommend popping in. |
76 A nice brown bar on three levels with a small pavement terrace. In some ways it’s reminiscent of an English city pub. There are about 20 taps split 50:50 between Belgian and Dutch beers. It’s just down the road from Sijf and well worth a visit.

60 Exactly what you'd expect from a Belgian beercafé. If there's ever a night you don't want to try new beers I guess you could go here and enjoy the evening. |
64 Expected more Belgian beers to be honest. Reasonable selection and not too busy when visited. |
74 Popular place, busy but large enough if you keep heading toward the back, based on a "concept" but with enough age on it now that it pulls off the brown thing, barely. The range goes far enough beyond InBev to be interesting; we were drinking XX Bitter and lambic and a few local Dutch beers. Table service seemed hit or miss; bar was the better bet. Food looked all right. Handily, there is a cash machine across the street. |
86 Based on frequent visits. Old fashioned Belgian type of ’Bruin Café’.Very nice relaxing atmosphere. Good selection of mostly Belgian beers with now and than a real surprise. Very friendly staff. Food is of good quality. Prices ok |
