56 Village pub just off the Oxford canal with public bar and dining areas. Small range of beers in the winter with their own branded bitter plus a guest, there is an extra hand pump in the summer period when the canal boats are around. Large garden and atmospheric location. |
58 Visited here Monday 2nd May 2011, having cycled from Merton, Oxon. Nice pub, reasonable sized back garden. Beer choice a little limited but to be expected considering village location, and three or four pumps (forgot exactly how many?) isn’t bad. Blue Bell Goldigger was a new one for me. Also has a real cider, I think Lyme Bay Jack Ratt? today. Worth a stop off in the area. |
