82 Love this place! Went to Bocktown in Robinson for lunch on my day off and there was nowhere to sit at the bar. I decided to check out this place and wow! A lot bigger, better bottle selection and about the same tap selection, though Robinson seems to have better quality. Bar was a lot bigger. Fish sandwich was twice as big as Robinson but fries were undercooked and couldn’t finish. I live in Allegheny county so I’m used to high beer prices. Both Bocktowns are about equal distance. Will go to this one more |
90 This place is located in the Beaver Vally Mall, so there is plenty of parking. Excellent choices of beers, just be prepared to pay high prices. I sent a few people there, and there complaint was beer prices, so they don’t plan on returning (especially they said for Beaver county). Food is good, so it’s worth the visit. |
88 OK, so this place is officially the closest real beer place to my home, just 5 mins away. Very big very large interior. Nice large bar with lots of room and a plainly posted beer menu for all to see. Typical friendly atmosphere you would find at the Bocktown. Nice tap selection, lots are local brews. Sometimes Robinson Bocktown is quite crowded but this place is 4 times larger inside. Overall good beer expereince but even tho the prices on beer are slightly high, they have decent 4 oz samplers for about a buck or two. Large selection of singles in the coolers and the coolers are easy to view from the floor. Oh, by the way, the food is good and its priced reasonably, especially the hand cut fries. One issue that bugs me about this place is the price of the glasses of beers. They don’t tell you up front and the prices are not on the beer menu. You get the big surprize at the register instead. For example, I paid $8 for a small glass of beer. |
