Bentwood Tavern

As good a restaurant as you’ll find the area, featuring Jenny from the late, lamented, Jenny’s Restaurant in Union Pier. Outstanding, outdoor seating overlooking the Marina. Last, but not least here, they always have a good, local Michigan selection of craft beers on tap, with several from Bell’s. Without confirming on their web site, I’d say that they have 8 taps, and then more bottles. My score reflects the limited selection of a restaurant, but this spot is highly recommended.

Visited on Saturday 03/11/12 at 9.45pm. Place was half full, lragely a restaurant but seats at the bar where we pitched up for half an hour. We had planned to eat here but thanks to Amtrak being 90 minutes late we didn’t have time - the food looked excellent! 8 taps with a few regulars and 2 or 3 seasonals including Bells Expedition Stout and Oracle on this visit. Service was friendly and efficient. Not a destination venue but you’ll get a good meal here and some solid beers.
