Cafe Belge

Bar was a dump but the beer list was quite impressive!

Much nicer than I thought it would be. Sure, it is a run-down cafe on the big square and they don’t even serve food, for instance. But the tap list is much more progressive than most bars around, with modern Belgian like Hof ten Dormaal. Prices are very reasonable and I think you get get a tick or 2 since the locals change regularly. So if the sun is out in Leuven and you want to see the crowd walk by, settle here, bring your own food and drink.

Outdoor service. Indoor service at small tables along the bar. Unfortunately we could look into the toilets. No water in the taps there. My beer was OK, the other persons so so. Loud music.

Bad place, even horrible. Some nice beer, decent prices, but it’s all.

Posto giovane e vivace. Alla spina birre commerciali, qualche buona referenza in bottiglia ma niente di eccezzionale. Posto da divertimento giovanile

On Leuven’s main drinking square with lots of tables outside. There are a few rarities for the beer geek, but mainly stuff you can get everywhere. There were televisions outside ready for the onslaught od the football world cup.

Dark place, loud music. Boring beer list, almost only tripels and common other beers.

Fun place to have a drink with your friends and the prices are relatively good considering you are on the old market on Leuven.

Nice place to have a godo Belgium beer.
