78 Classic looking Dutch brown bar with a tap selection of 21, most of which were rather conservative Belgian focused. There's a rotating selection of about 10 cans/bottles that can offer something of interest, we were surprised to find an Armenian beer among the selection. The personell was really forthcoming and interested, which is why we returned the same day for a final beer. Despite the limited selection for seasoned beer tickers, I would recommend this as one of the best places in Nijmegen to spend some time. |
82 Crowded cafe, service friendly, even got a free glass since the kegg was empty so i got a 3/4 glass, prices ok, nice place |
74 Visited on a Thursday afternoon. Large and spaceous but also cozy Dutch brown café, divided in 2 rooms with each their own bar. Heated and sheltered patio in front. Main area has the largest bar, some stools and tables, second area looks a bit more modern, this was reserved for a party. Nice tap list with their own tripel from De Hemel, which they’d just ran out of, unfortunately. Large beer list but focused mainly on Belgian and well known Dutch beers, not many new beers to be found for the die-hard ticker. Didn’t try any food, but I think you can eat here as well. Nice place to visit and have a beer though, always good to have a Westmalle Dubbel from tap. |
78 One of the older Nijmegen bars with decent beer selection. With changing tap list, alwasy something new to find. Knowledgeable staff, good service. Recommended place when in Nijmegen. |
70 Fairly old school looking, but a reasonable selection of Dutch micro brewers available. |

66 Visited at new years eve. It was quite busy, but that didn’t stop the personnel from giving us great advise on what beers to choose. Needless to say, great ambiance that evening. They serve Belgian beers (trappist, regular abby beer) and some Dutch craft beers (a.o. from de Molen, Jopen, Oersoep). Some nice surprises, but mostly familiar beers. |
84 Bruine kroeg met uitstekend personeel.
Ruime selctie van bieren op de fles.
Op de tap ook veel verschillende bieren, die regelmatig wisselen.
Eten is erg goed.
Prijzen zijn ietwat aan de hoge kant. |
78 Visited 12/2013. Cosily packed at borreltijd right after work, decent tap selection (well above average compared to Belgian bars in cities this size) with a few fortunate rotating guest taps (SNAB PA, Anderson Valley Winter Solstice) at fair enough, upper end value. Good service, offering the occasional sample when showing interest in the blackboards. Nicely portioned variety cheese platter with very tasty pickled onions. House tripel Cleijne on tap is ok and goes well with the cheeses. Extensive jenever list consisting of a few vntages and 40% Belgians, where I was surprised to find a few of Gent’s Druppelkot. Stop that saved an early evening in pouring, windy Nijmegen. |
66 Nice little bar, relatively close to the train station.
Wooden tables and chairs, with enough space between them so you’re
not getting crammed. 8 beers on tap and a good amount in bottles,
mostly belgian and dutch, with no surprises.
Some of the Oersoep beers that you have to ask or take a look
at the blackboard to see which is available at the moment.
Good service, professionally friendly. Prices are a bit higher than
what I am used to, at least on the bottles. |
