Visited on a Saturday evening. Nice looking bar inside with beer memorabilia all over, although it had more of a restaurant feeling. In fact, at least inside where I sat, there were more people eating than having a beer. Selection is your typical belgian and some dutch beers too, but no surprises. Okay prices, clean toilets. Big terrace outside.

PINT meeting. Decent place, quite busy, still managed to get us quite meeting table in the back. Decent beer list although the one beer I fancied was out just today - bummer. Still got new tick, and some other decent beers.

Nice place with a good terrace outside. Friendly staff. Decent tap list but with only 1 or 2 surprises. The manager knows his beers. Well worth a visit.

Nice beer bar in downtown Hengelo, located on a strip with several other bars and lounges that are far less "beer friendly". They had 12 solid taps and a very nice bottle list, including all of the Trappist brews (except Westy, of course). They allow smoking in the back section where the billiards tables are, and unfortunately that smoke finds it’s way into the main hall. They also carry (and advertise) a chunk of American and Mexican macro lagers, which is a bit of a detraction. The outdoor patio is sizable and crowded, loaded with youngsters on the night that I visited. It’s a pretty solid bar overall. Not great, but a nice place to grab a solid brew or three. This is really the only solid beer destination that I found in Hengelo, so make it your first stop if you are in town.

Beers tend to be expensive. Regularly surprises on tap. Visitors tend to be very young. Avoid the friday afternoon and the saturday evening.
