Pub with lots of British atmosphere. Flowers and ivy covering on the outside, and WWII (Churchill) plus general pub knickknacks on the inside. Crowded on a weeknight. Great place for atmosphere and people watching plus Thai food but beer list is not very exciting, neither for casks or craft.

So with the closure of the Mawson’s Arms and the fact that The Harp and The Coach & Horses don’t have a massive focus on Fullers beers I need to find somewhere to find my beloved ESB in great condition. Reader I found it and more… came here on an early Sat evening. A lot of tourists and a scattering of locals… most punters ordering neck oil but the Fullers beers are banging… as good as from the brewery or the old Mawson’s Arms. ESB perfect. London Pride… perfect. Also had Griffin IPA. Was planning to hit Royal Oak for great Harvey’s beers but stayed here.

Really popular pub close to the Notting Hill Gate tube station. Absolutely chokka on a Friday evening. The beer range is really quite restricted being mostly from the Fullers stable. The Thai food is excellent.

Corner pub, very traditional in style cosy and carpeted, but with a lot of interesting clutter, mostly hanging down from the ceiling including chamber pots, miners lamps and World War II memorabilia amongst the densely packed artefacts. There's a restaurant towards the rear, a small outdoor area, although quite few people were standing up outside on the side road length of the building. The bar serves mainly Fuller's ales in both cask and keg with a guest cask available when I visited.

Rare place that you have to visit. The outside is off course first blood. Flower in the summer and Christmas three during winter. And not just one….
The inside is also weird. Strange mix between a traditional English pub, museum and a Thai restaurant.
The museum is in the roof, nice Fullers selection at the bar (beers in good condition) and a Thai restaurant if you turn right when you enter the pub.
Very crowded at my visit on a Friday evening.

I usually don't care overmuch for these sorts of touristy pubs but I have to admit this was fun. Memorabilia - Churchillian and otherwise - is as plentiful inside as the flowers are on the outside. Standard Fullers beers with no surprises, and a tiny craft bottle selection with Little Creatures and the like. The Thai food smelled fantastic (and the prices for food looked reasonable) but we didn't eat. Standard London service (i.e. just about tolerable). Good as a one-off.

Small, rustic, cosy, classical english pub with lot of character. Typical Fuller’s pub selection.

Visited on 5th January 2017. Large pub on a main road in Kensington. Pretty impressive lighting out the front and quite a tardis-like interior. There’s a Thai restaurant which seemed to be exceedingly popular with the pub wedged despite a lot of seating in the place. There’s a lot of Churchill related material on the walls. Beer range supplied by Fullers was OK, it was well looked after, prices OK, service good. A nice pub but not one I’d be dashing back to.
