82 the hidden gem of Montréal’s west island. located in the pointe claire village, this belgian restaurant has beers (bottles) privately imported from belgium that i have never seen sold anywhere else in the country. gulden draak, gouden carolus, chimay brown, kasteel, among others. the proper glass for each brew, even Kwak! it is a very nice place, so nice it might be intimidating! prices are fairly reasonable, especially considering the quality of food you are getting. lunch menu is 10-14 bucks, for supper from 22-29 bucks. kangaroo filet mignon in a blueberry sauce, or some wild boar hamburger steak! delicious belgian waffles fro dessert! the service is second to none. almost like the owners brought belgian gastronomic tradition to canada. |
