44 This your typical Total wine setup, shopping mall. As the norm you can find a wide range of craft singles from the region. This one though is stocking a lot of out of date, past best before date product. So while it seemed I was getting a lot of new ticks, most of them are horrible. Buyer beware! |
72 Free dedicated parking. Service was pretty good a couple times. Big selection of single bottles and cans. You can bust up four-packs or six-packs to get a single. Online beer list is mostly up to date. I found this location better than the Towson TW&M, but not quite as good as the McLean TM&M. I would go back. |
78 I've been to other TWs around the country and this might be the best one I've been in. The single bottle selection was a lot bigger and better organized than others I've been in. They had plenty of the new hot releases (Hopslam, Nugget Nectar, etc). Prices were average. Other than that it is your standard TW. A good option. |
80 Moved up in the same shopping center to a larger space since 2017. Beer selection was huge before and even bigger now, plus there are fewer empty shelves. May be one of the best places to find local beers in the state. Customer service has also improved. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was the busiest beer/wine store we have ever been in. Just one traffic light off the Baltimore-Washington Pkwy. |
86 It’s Total Wine Etc., so the selection is extensive and there is a huge selection of singles so you can make your own 6ers. This place is only limited by the Maryland distributors, i.e., the Virginia Total Wine is always a treat when I get to the other side of the Potomac. |
80 Typical Total Wine layout with shelves upon shelves of beer happiness. Wide aisles easily accomodate shopping carts and the beers are well organized. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Prices were certainly fair for the area. Selection was good overall, but they tended to not have many new special releases and focused on year-round favorites. |
72 2012.01.05 - As noted, is a Total Wine. VA Total Wines seem to have a bit more variety but I think I saw some things here not in the Sterling or Chantilly store. Such are alcohol laws, like apparently you can't get Bell's in MD. Good store, definitely worth a stop. As with other Total Wines you probably won't find any true rarities but a wide variety of things you probably don't see in your local bottle shop. |
76 ’Tis your typical Total Wine, meaning there are plenty of singles to mix and match. The beer selection is good, though the VA locations have a little more variety. The staff is ever-present and helpful. My favorite part though was being in line behind a guy who pulled out a green plastic newspaper sack to fish for change to pay for his "beer"; classy. |
84 Recommended by Andrew at Alewife, thank you sir. This place has a massive beer selection, heavy on regionals and locsls, but with a smattering of stuff from all over, including Central America. Staff are friendly, prices are good. What more do you need? |
98 This is my beer wonderland! I love this places selection and the fact that you can buy single bottles before you spring for a six pack. The people that work there are very helpful and friendly. |
