Swung by on a Saturday for lunch with my toddler (they're kid-friendly and have specific diversions for kiddos - e.g., crayons and cups with tops on them). The food was terrific. The beer was also very-well done, no flights which I'm not going to ding them for. More restaurant than brewpub for me but very good at both.

This was the first stop on our crawl. Built in an old firehouse, the space oozes character. We sat out front as it was one of the last beautiful days of the year, most likely. Service was nice after the initial slow start. We had the hummus plate, which was tasty. They don't have flights, but they do have four oz tasters. They are pretty pricey. Tried a bunch of their stuff as well as a couple of the more interesting guest beers. A really nice place to drink beer.

Quickly becoming a classic PNW destination. Fantastic space in a unique old building.. a brick firehouse. Food is off of a huge pub menu, and is rather delicious for what it is. I love the fries. Fair tap list, half/half with house beers and interesting guest taps. I often find the guests to be more interesting than what they are offering, especially if you aren’t after their small batch sours. Lots of house bottles for takeaway, plus a very interesting (and reasonably priced) list of bottles available for there. I don’t always love the E9 beers, but when they’re good, they’re very good.

It was nice and quiet on the Thursday night that I visited, which made for a nice experience. I am told they can get very busy with frat boys on some nights, so I’m glad that didn’t coincide with my visit. Nice taplist of about 20 beers when I visited, about half of which were house beers and the rest guest taps. You can order a pre-set flight of their house beers: $6.25 for 6 tasters, a ridiculously good deal. However, you can’t do flights or order taster sizes of the other beers. Guest taps were very good, including some Trois Dames, Boneyard and Barley Brown’s. Service was super friendly and even fairly knowledgeable. Bottle list was also excellent, which featured a nice array of sours and BA imperial stouts for very reasonable prices (not that much further marked up than store prices). Definitely worth a stop when in town.

What an awesome place to visit every time I happen to be in the area. The location is nice, and happens to be a half block away from the Red Hot, another favorite of mine. This place is a full restaurant, as well as a brewery with over 30 taps, split with guest taps and their own beers. They will occasionally have really fun events, as I found out yesterday, attending their packed house Sour Fest. Beers are good, food is good, staff is great. They also have a very nice small bottle collection to enjoy on site, which has impressed me every time. This is my kind of place. Love it every time.

Visited on Friday 7th November ’14 around midight. Nice venue, seet in an old firestation with many period features. The place was about 70% and easily found a table in the main room where the bar stands. There was a live DJ playing crap dance mixes that no one was paying any attention to, miss ! A good selection of taps although mainly guests, think there were just over half a dozen house beers which we worked through they are were mediocre at best averageing 2.96 for my rates, the lowest of any brewpub beers on this visit. Tasters could be taken by the 6 at 4oz’s. House beers were all pretty dull styles too, nothing dark and strong, nothing hoppy, all 4-6% slush. The guest taps were solid and kind of bailed this place out a little. Service at the bar was fine. Not the best venue we visited in Tacoma and certainly the poorest showing in terms of house beers.

This is a unique pub and brewery based in a old fire engine house in the heart of Tacoma, WA. Ambiance is unique with original décor including a the taproom set in stalls from the days of horse drawn fire engines. This is a family friendly brewpub with excellent food that even my kids enjoyed. .
