Visited 09.07.22. Five hand pumps, with only one innooeration on my visit. Some macro-micro beer from breweries like Goose Island. Not a beer destination. Friendly service, though.

New people running this pub. 5 casks and 12 kegs mostly craft. No Guiness, O'Haras Irish Stout instead! The house Pilsner is brewed by Bedlam of Sussex. Unfortunately the old Hansom Cab that used to hang from the ceiling is gone, however the beer choice and quality has rocketed! Food looked very expensive on the menu. Their website says they are a sister pub to the Old Red Cow (Smithfield), the Dean Swift (SE1) and the Hack&Hop (Whitefriars).

I’ll say this for the place: it is attractive. Beyond its aesthetics, though, this place isn’t really a beer destination. They have five casks running but only three beers (two pairs are duplicates) and the beers are really nothing special - Doom Bar, some other Sharps stuff, maybe Timmy T. The staff is friendly. The condition of my beer was decent. The prices are high for what you get but on par with this part of town. They have food but I didn’t eat. Not even close to being a destination pub. Really just a place to go if you’re in Kensington and want a real ale.

This place has been recently refurbished and now looks like your standard upscale west London gastropub. The selection’s truly boring, and I’d advise ratebeerians to steer clear of this place if they’re looking for a beer. On my last visit, Landlord was by far the most adventurous beer available. The prices are quite expensive, the service ordinary. Scroll past.

Dim candle-lit and comfy with loads of lovely private little sections to retire to for any sized party. Shabby in a trendy way. Menu promising but untried.
