Nice interior but I didn’t like the tourist crowd who seemed to enjoy two many night caps here late in the evening. Crappy music too. The full range from Lindeboom lured me to visit after a tasty falafel nearby. Also convenient that my hotel was in the vicinity and therefore easy to stagger back to bed. Certainly a beautiful old grand cafe style bar. Quiet when I visited around 17:30 on a Tuesday but I can see that the location could make it very different on a weekend evening (my ambiance score would probably be different if so). Good service and (expected) central Amsterdam prices. Happy to come here and get a Lindeboom tick, and I’m sure I’ll revisit with non ratebeer friends as it’s a nice place.

Great location, really nice interior like Boudicca described, multi-storey bar. However, over-crowded with tourists, bachelor parties, drunk Brits, over-priced, etc. Yes they have a lot of the Lindeboom beers, but that’s it. Just take a peek for the interior, and leave.

Heffer is by the Damrak canal basin and behind the large red brick Beurs at the end of a back street lined with cheap hotels so, inevitably, it’s a touristy place with prices to match. On the plus side, the inside is lovely - old fashioned and elegant with bare salted floorboards, wood panelled walls, impressive mirrored panels behind the bar and brass chandeliers. As has been noted in previous reviews, they have the full range of Lindeboom beers, mainly on draught. (Visited 1 October 2012).

The place for Lindeboom, but they don’t have many beers besides that. The food is great, and the staff is very helpfull and smiling. A small, but very nice place to have lunch and a beer.

If someone like Lindeboom brews from draft, this is "i think" the only place in Amsterdam have them all. Beautiful location on the other hand.

Quite an attractive bar in an awful location.Attracts pissed tourists happy to pay the high prices. The beers are by Lindeboom and very dull.

Went here with caesar. Indeed an overpriced bar. Friendly and good working staff. But for me more place-ticking. Nice for tourists, less interesting for beergeeks.
