62 Opposite BrewDog at Tower Hill, this offers up a more traditional experience than its nearest competitor, in a square front facing room with its bar agains the back wall. Despite a fine ambiance and appearance it only stocks the most regular of the Fullers brands. |
56 Nice traditional old English pub. Not that good beer selection. But you find a BrewDog pub on the other side of the street that also brew their own beer.
So lets go!
Not very difficult to find. 5 min from Tower Bridge

66 Visited Friday 5th April 2019 around 4pm. Not the biggest of Fullers pubs with a roped of area for dining to the right, the HD&Q was doing a decent late afternoon trade on my visit but I was served promptly by 'active' bar staff ... by that I mean they were looking for people to serve instead of gassing so hats off for that.
Interior was old pub dark with wooden floor and a mix of high and low tables, clientele a blend of tourists and suits.
Beer wise this is above average as a Fullers pub for me ... but clearly not on the level of their 'craft' houses.
I came to tick the recently rereleased black Ipa but in addition to this there was another Fullers craft keg offering and 2 seasonal casks ... both winners for me !
Overall not a stand alone Fullers pub to visit but you'll likely get some ticks and it can be combined with Brewdog, Draft House Seething, a spoons and Fullers craft bar 'Hydrant' ... all within 5 minutes walk. |
64 An attractive pub, although the beer selection is nothing special (some Fuller's pubs have much better). Still, if you're a little lucky you might find something new either in bottle or on tap. Not worth going out of your way to visit, but you might as well pop by if you're near. |
66 Visited August 2018. Lovely cosy town pub. Lots of nice deco and great colours. Looks much bigger from the outside, than inside. Good amount of seatings. They do traditionel pub food. Being a Fullers pub that's what's on.. I had my London pride as I have to have one time when in London.. Nice condition on the beers. Very cosy.. Being in Tower Hill it gots really busy during lunch.. |
54 Week days this place tends to get pretty busy with a mix of suits, and tourists due to the nearby Tower of London. Pretty normal Fullers affair but on visit last year one of the 4 cask pulls on was in pretty poor nik truth be told, but was happy to swap over to a different beer without question which was nice to see. Overall pretty standard place and not worth seeking out specifically. |
60 Visited the 28th August 2015 - Decent place near to the City. Beers are Fuller’s with some other industrial. Good place, clear and nice. Maybe the music was a little bit louder but that was ok. Nothing special. |
30 Normal pub. With a few tap, several where empty/not working. Bad service. No beer knowledge. Ok prices. |
38 Standard Pub. The service was poor. Several casks were gone but the pump clips did not reflect this. When I asked which year the Vintage Ale on tap was from, the waitress replied something like: "I don’t know. Are there different vintages?". This is basic knowledge and you shouldn’t be allowed behind the bar in a Fuller’s pub, if you don’t know something like this. After that she managed to pour a full pint when I ordered a half. The other waitress was equally clueless and was dressed like she was selling something entirely different than beer. The only reason I don’t give a 1 for service is that they were polite, which is always nice. The selection was lacking as three cask beers were on, but not available due to technical difficulties, whatever that means. This was a really poor experience and I will most certainly not set foot here again. There are far better Fuller’s pubs elsewhere in London both in terms of staff and selection. |
