66 Last night in Wilmington and went downtown for dinner. Beautiful location on the riverfront, nice big outside balcony. Beer was average at best, food was OK but nothing special. Some "big" bottles available for sale. |
82 Great location on the river promenade ..... nice indoor seating but they have a covered patio and a deck area with great river views ..... extensive beer and food menu with lots of choices. Beer wise they had quite a few IPA’s that were average and sessionable at best .... the server was prompt and the prices were fair .... I’d return if I was in the area again .... definite another good location for these guys |
58 My first visit to an Iron Hill brewpub. Big corporates place, with a separate upstairs bar. Lots of taps, with flights of 4 available for a cheap $6. Beer quality was solid but nothing exceptional - none of their top-rated beers were available. Very friendly service. If you’re nearby, I guess it’s worth a stop. |
76 Lunch stop on my way to Philly. Right off the highway, which is nice. Large parking lot nice as well. Not busy for lunch on a Wednesday, although I was there a bit after noon. They had about 12 taps running including their five stated "house" beers and a bunch of specials. Bartender was nice, and either answered my questions or went and found an answer. Food was good (I had the Ahi salad). Beers were overall decent. No major flaws or anything, but nothing really stood out from the pack. Interestingly, the four beers I tried mapped to three different Iron Hills in three different states. It would seem that some cleaning up may be in order for this chain? |
74 Good beer. Nice brew pub feel. Only had nachos, they weren’t very good but were expensive. Better beer than food. |
68 Ambiance: Decent enough place...but definitely has that chain feel to it. Too cookie cutter for me.
Service: The bartenders were decent and semi attentive but not overly knowledgeable about their own beers
Selection: Decent selection as they had like 15 in house beers but they had too many overlapping beers...two IPAs, two pale ales, 3 different dark beers, etc
Food: Ordered the chicken fajita spiced salad, decent enough for a salad
Value: 2 beers and the salad ran me almost 28 bucks...not a great price value.
Overall, okay if you are in a pinch for a brewpub but I wouldn’t make it a staple. |
64 Stopped in for a brew and dinner. Pretty cool looking place inside. Open ,warm and clean. Went into total sticker shock when I opened the menu. Prices are exorbitant for almost everything. Then found out the beers were $7 a pint. To pricey for my taste. |
82 My "local" Iron Hill. Always a pleasant experience with great food and brews. A very spacious dining area cmopared to others, but reservations are STRONGLY recommended! |
74 great brewery great beer |
68 More spacious than most locations due to large windows making up one wall, patio, water nearby. Service decent, restaurant near filled by lunch time on a Sunday. Bar consistent with all IH locations in having only one TV at bar. Lots of seating behind bar and restaurant area. Food exceptional as is case with all IH. Same number of taps though not the variety of Lancaster location, though IRS is here, and the bottles are best selection of any IH I’ve attended. |
