42 *** CALL BEFORE YOU GO ***
Facebook says they were open until 12:30am, I showed up at 7:55pm on Wednesday and it's locked up and they wouldn't let me in. I purposely got a hotel withing walking distance so I could visit this place and a few others. |

64 Visited late afternoon on a Wednesday. Located in the Laclede’s Landing area of St Louis, which i tucked just north of the arch, and between downtown and the river. Cobblestone streets, mostly touristy bars and restaurants and casinos. Selection was 6 house beers on, styles leaning a bit towards lagers. Food menu is “first generation brewpub” as is the vibe. Near the metrolink which is nice. Many more interesting options in St. Louis, but if you are in the area worth a look. 64 = ★★ (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
70 Sort of typical, olde-towne, open brewpub setting....cobbled brick street area of riverfront......open/exposed joist ceilings...dark, but still airy....service was very good, efficient and quick....servers showed interest in my note-taking.....beers were average to above....fairly standard selection....nothing off to any of them.....food was superb.....the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf was incredible......good pricing, too....I’d definitely return for another visit. |
78 RBSG 2014
They were happy to see us. Had nine of their beers on tap. They provided soft baked pretzels with liquid cheese for us. Nice sports bar feel without being over the top, loud or rowdy. Nice interior. Well laid out. Their beers were solid, if not spectacular. Sometimes fresh, hand crafted, solid beers are good enough. |
76 A large multitiered brewpub that had a bit of a sports bar feel to it. Service was solid and the brewer was available for discussion. A good number of taps were available on the visit and samples possible. Tried the pretzel with cheese sauce which was solid. Went above my expectations. |
72 Visited during the SRBG Bus Tour 2014. They were glad to have us and had a selection of 9 of their beers to try. They also provided pretzels for everyone. Beers were average, but seems like they are trying to improve. If you are near, it would probably be worth a visit. |
64 Stopped during RBSG Bus Tour.
Kind of a weird, multi-tiered set up to this building. Down near the river, which is cool, I guess. This place is straight out of the doldrums of US brewpub past. They at least have a good number of beers on tap (9 during our stop). But mostly the mediocre brewing quality. I guess at least they had something other than the blonde ale, pale ale, brown ale, amber ale lineup. Was sort of a serve yourself experience, but the staff were pleasant and willing to answer any questions that people had. They also put out some snacks (soft pretzels) which was nice. Probably wouldn’t come here again. Seems like a place where you could come get loaded for cheap with your bros, though. |
66 Visited during Ratebeer Summer Gathering bus tour. Spacious, sort of quaint, kind of charming looking place. I was a big fan of the tasting set up they had for us, very accommodating, and great service. House beers are decent, with a few standouts -- I particularly enjoyed the watermelon wheat. Cool place that I’d return to to try new beers. |
74 Visited on the RBSG 2014 bus tour. They had 9 beers on draft to try. All average to good. Didn’t get to try the food, they just had some soft pretzels for us to soak up the beer which was nice. Worth a stop. |
