O’Brien’s

If only all Irish pubs were like this. Tons of interesting craft, nice bottle selection and some one offs just for the pub. Small pours reasonably priced and typical bar food. Not the nicest place but definitely a fun stop.

O’Brien’s occupies a corner strip mall unit in the heart of San Diego’s brewery zone none affectionately as ’Beeramar’ and ’Beeramesa’. I visited on a crowded Friday during SD Beer Week and was able to share a table while two other patrons waited for their guests to arrive. The beer selection, taps and bottles, was diverse and rotating. I found the service handled the crowd very well and kept the queue moving. The prices are well in line with San Diego.

A smallish English style pub on a strip mall. Nice selection of beers on tap, didn’t have time to check out their bottle list as there were loads of interesting beers on tap. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

L’ultime taverne et très souvent mon bureau de travail. Sa position géographique en plein Kearny Mesa truffé de restaurants orientaux ne nuit pas...Et ça c’est seulement si vous voulez faire changement du Jalapeno Tuna Melt à 7$.

Way out of town and actually in a strip mall, i wasn’t very sure what to expect as we approached. We visited at lunchtime during the week so it wasn’t very busy. The beer selection is pretty solid with some interesting stuff. The place looks more like an irish dive bar that has seen better days. The whole place could use bit of a tidy up, but maybe thats how the owners like it. IF you are nearby it’s worth checking out, but there are so many other amazing beer bars in SD that iff you are short on time don’t bother trekking out here.

Tucked away into a strip mall on the corner. Outdoor seating and indoor seating. Very solid tap list and excellent service. Talked to the bartender for about 45 minutes about other places to go, he wrote down recommendations and was very helpful. Pricing seemed fair, TVs were available and they had some stuff on tap I didn’t see much of elsewhere.

Big tatood person’s bar with lots of people swearing and the like. So we sat outside, although some intoxicated people thought we could talk to them there. Some different and decent micro taps.
