Visited on a Saturday afternoon. There is a gravel parking lot behind the building with a door you can go through to go straight to the bar, or you could walk around the front to get to the dining area. They have a decent sized covered patio on the front. As was mentioned in another review, this place has more of a restaurant vibe to it than a brewpub vibe. Perhaps that is more their focus. On my visit they had 4 of their own beers on tap, as well as around 20 guest taps. All the beer on tap was craft and with a focus on Ohio Craft, but not exclusively. Service was attentive and helpful. They had 4 folks working behind the bar, so they could easily keep up. The beers themselves weren’t spectacular, but the place seemed nice enough. They allow flights of 4, and on my visit they only had that many of their own, so I was in good shape. All things considered, the place is decent, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a beer destination.

Open when most better beer places aren’t. They have guest taps.

A nice brewpub that looks more like a restaurant than anything else. A great central bar hosts many taps only a few their own, which is actually a good thing. The beers are not very good, but the plenty of guest taps are. Service was friendly with flights and free samples available. Not a great stop for beer but not bad if you are in the area.

(Visited 03/2015): Knotty Pine is one of the newer brewpubs in Columbus, and is located in Grandview on W 3rd and Westwood. There is a lot behind the building as well as street parking in the immediate area.

Outside is a nice patio with barrel tables and benches that offers a view of the street. Inside opens to a bar area, then table seating in the rear. Wooden floors and tables, and the brewing equipment is visible behind glass.

Knotty Pine has 4 of their own beers on tap, plus other Ohio and domestic craft breweries represented. They have consistently had very few of their own beers available on my visits though. Thus far I have only tried their IPA on site, and it was pretty average. They offer samplers of their beer as well as other draughts from breweries like Jackie O’s, Nowhere In Particular, Seventh Son and Actual.

Service on my visits has been solid. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable.

I have not tried food here yet.

Overall both the quantity and quality of beers at Knotty Pine is disappointing, but hopefully they continue to fine tune. A decent stop while in Grandview but Zauber and Four String are more worthwhile.
