Relatively small shop unit restuarant conversion with a short bar against the side wall of the front room - seating is limited here but there's more at the rear. I guess at quieter times it's probably suitable enough for just a drink here if you want to, however selection is limited to a few well known crafted keg ales and ciders.

Visited on 31st July 2016. Large bar/diner with 3 areas, a mix of small tables in the window, booths by the bar and a conservatory type affair out the back where most of the eating goes on. Also tables outside if drinking on a main road is your thing. Ambiance is really nice, well decorated, service is old fashioned and quaint and very friendly. 3 beers on handpull from the local area as a rule but do get guests in. The keg beers are listed in the menu as are a decent range of bottles. The guest you have to ask about which isn’t the best but it’s more restaurant than bar. Food is really good, been in a few times for Sunday lunch and always been great. Prices a little high but worth it. Really like the place. Not really a great Rb destination but nice for a meal and a decent beer.

Visited a couple of times. It is quite gastro but I’ve not felt discouraged from just having a drink. The three casks and six kegs are likely to contain something of interest, if winners for the hardcore ticker are likely to be thin on the ground. I’ll echo what others have said about the keg taps not being labelled - what on earth are they thinking of with that caper? Marks for service knocked down for that. Worth a look in if passing but I wouldn’t make a special journey.

PKD is a rather stylish restaurant located up St John’s Hill, some 10 minutes walk from CJ station. Not a bar or pub by any measure, more of a sit-down table-service kind of place. They have a small, but decent selection of beers with 3 cask, 6 keg and 20ish bottles (see website for bottle beer menu). Draught beer from the likes of Redwell, Founders and Titanic. Bottles include some of the main London players i.e. Beavertown and Kernel. I came to sample some Lost Brewing, of which they had 1 on tap. A rather nice venue with a adequate beer selection. More of place to go with the lady friend than boozing with the RB crew!

Quaint bar, soft music, candles, staff in waistcoats were friendly but used the word ’sir’ too often. A patron was wearing a top hat...! The Keg beers aren’t described and so the beer selection has to be explained by staff at painfully exhaustive length. Overall, I was put off by the pretentiousness. This is a restaurant and cocktail bar with beer as an after-thought - beer selection isn’t that special. 6 Keg, 3 HP.

Love this place. The interior is really nicely done and the skilled use up ’upcycled’ materials is very classy. I’ve been here a few times to drink and took my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. The food is really, really good. Short menu that regularly changes. I had a fantastic steak when I was there. The service really is top notch too. The wait staff are attentive and know the extensive drinks menu inside out; they’re very capable of making suggestions based on your tastes. Nice little touches like pouring you out some water when you arrive. There’s table service throughout the bar. The drinks selection on the whole is very good, not just for beer, but also wine, sprits and cocktails. You’ll find some really interesting items. Beers are very solid and there’s often a good number of London representatives. This isn’t perhaps the top place to go to try and get serious numbers of ticks, but if you want a really nice joint with good food and drinks beyond just top craft beers, then I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s not cheap, but the quality and service is so high that I fully believe it to be worth the money. My special occasion restaurant of choice.

Visited on 24/07/14 on the way to the LBA fest at Le Gothique. 10 minutes walk from Clapham Junction, St John’s Hill entrance. Smallish venue, bar to the right as you enter, 3 cask ales, 6 keg taps the latter of which are annoyingly not listed so I had to hear the barmans ’shpeal’ talking about 6 beers in detail that I was already familiar with. Fine if you want this - but I just wanted to see a bloody list! Beer choice was largely uninspiring, Founders All Day IPA on keg being the only thing I fancied having, also noted a Titanic beer on keg (stout), Slaters Top Totty on cask and Lost Brewing - Low Rider lager on keg. I’m still the only person to have rated anything from said brewery! So this place is clearly part of the Lost Group, used to drink in Ales & Tails in Twickenham but they’ve since sold this on. The ambiance is OK, like someones front room, pretty quiet at 5.45 pm on a summers Thursday evening. Clearly more of a place to go and eat rather than drink, I wouldn’t come back here without an alterior motive, maybe worth sticking your head in the door if you are heading to a festival at Le Gothique, pretty much on the way and 6 or 7 mins walk from said venue.

Been a couple of times & I really like this place. Not the biggest range of beers, but lovely food, quirky decor, excellent customer service & they make a superb gin cocktail! It is expensive, but there’s something a bit special about it. I wouldn’t pick it for my local, but it’s a great place to go for quality food & drink. It must be good, as even the 12.5% restaurant service charge doesn’t annoy me as much as it usually would!

A quirky place, full of shabby chic furniture which makes it feel like a cross between an antique shop and an elegant 1920s living room. There are three hand pumps and six keg taps. The hand pumps have parcel labels attached saying what beer is on but none of the keg taps are labelled, which I found a bit frustrating. Apart from that, I liked it. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was, well, different (in a good way). (Visited 15 March 2014).

A bit of an oddity when it comes to Craft beer, an elegant restaurant come bar in Clapham. Table service and a menu is a bit unheard of in this game but it does make the price somewhat more palatable. A good diverse UK, Scottish and international range, although on our visit several were sold out. Great if you want a nice romantic meal and some great ale.
