The Red Yeti

I stopped by expecting a brewpub. All their taps were guest beers. Staff ignored me for 10 minutes, so I left. Don't think Red Yeti is a brewpub. (Where'd "Red Foot" come from anyway?)

Visited on a warm sunny afternoon, sitting on the street patio. Good service, only 4 taps, but they have guest taps too. Small menu, but everything looked delicious. Nice downtown location.

A restored storefront location in old downtown Jeffersonville. Brick walls, cement floors inside, cozy bar that is separated from the main dining room by a large doorway. 10 taps, no bottles, flights available. Only two Red Yeti beers on tap when I was there. Both were serviceable. Nice crowd - this must be one of the new Louisville evening destinations.

Great brewpub with several guest taps (their own beers are now on tap). Nice eclectic menu (will update once I finally eat here). Left side is the restaurant side and right is the bar. Like the 3 different sizes of beer. A great addition to the area.

Overview: As noted in the previous review, Red Yeti is pretty new, and, as yet, aren’t brewing their own beer (awaiting federal inspection at the end of August I’ve heard). They are about a block away from the pedestrian bridge, which should give them a good deal of foot traffic from Louisville. The intrepid walker could make it from Against the Grain to here without getting in a car. Anyway, the right entrance takes you into the bar area, which has a few elevated tables (to make short people feel extra awkward) and a chalkboard near the end of the bar with beers listed and prices/measures available. You can get 10 oz., 16 oz. and 23 oz. pours here, and the prices are just about right. On the left is the main dining area, which is smallish, but features nice exposed brick and good lighting. The brewing setup is visible past the bar and cooler, and is a very small system. I imagine guest taps will be a thing here, even when they brew their own. Service was very friendly and offered good recommendations of the beers on tap with our meal. Lots of Indiana beer featured (NABC, Flat 12, Oaken Barrel) and even some from Evansville and Seymour that you don’t see in other places very much. Digging the in-state love to lesser known brewers here, even with the small number of taps overall. The food, I thought, was above average. I had the burger with garlic aioli fries ($11) and there were several other tasty-sounding options. They seem to take this part of what they do a little more seriously than the average "brewpub" (can’t legitimately call a place that doesn’t make their own beer yet that name). Value was good, considering that you could get different appropriately priced measures; food was maybe a tad high. PROS: Nice space, engaging service, good in-state selection, thoughtful food. CONS: Maybe a little high on some food items. OVERALL: A promising place, especially for Jeff. (Jeffersonville) Will revisit when they start to brew, but it’s worth a stop when in town. Street parking (not metered) throughout the area.

Nice place, I will go back. Short walk from the louisvlle pedestrian bridge on the North side of the river. Restaurant, bar and sidewalk cafe seating. This place is brand new, so they are still getting thier processes down. Service was a little slow for the volume they had, but not horribly so. Staff made it up by being very courteous. Selection was decent size of about 10 drafts. Had a good mix. I am looking forward to the brewery portion to come online. Food was american fare, but very high quality american fare. I want to try more menu selections. Prices are a little higher than average, but the quality makes it worth it. This rating will jump a good 8 points if the service kicks up the pace a notch and the craftbrews that come out are quality.
