Interesting brewpub/restaurant with a decent amount of beers on tap. Several TVs and a friendly atmosphere. Service was decent and the beer was hit-or-miss. Not necessarily worth the trip from GR but I was on a trip to visit all the outliers and this was on the list.

A bit out of the way but was quite impressed. A nice space with a bar and dining room. A decent number of taps plus bottle to go. You can do a sampler. Food was very good and staff is friendly. Prices are very competitive. So many good brewers in the area, this place gets overlooked.

Ate here early on a weekend afternoon when it had a moderate crowd. Service was terrific, but we did not challenge the waitstaff with beer talk. We just enjoyed the food and the house beers. We will be back!

I love this place. I always enjoy the beer here. The menu beers are all enjoyable, and the seasonals are always interesting. The food is excellent - especially the pizza. The service is friendly, although, as with many brewpubs where the food is a critical part of the business, the servers generally aren’t beer experts. Definitely worth visiting.

Stopped here between Dark Horse and my hotel in Grand Rapids. Located downtown. Clearly and old restored building, which is always cool. There is a pub side and restaurant side. I sat on the pub side... I got the sampler... all the beers were solid with a couple of very nice ones. 4 samples for $5 or 9 for $8. They had an empty tap so they offered me two samples of one beer or a sample of the house made root beer. I took the root beer which was damn tasty. The menu looked reasonably priced, though I didn’t eat. Service was OK.

Lovely little town, small sure, sleepy maybe, but certainly charming to stop by for a few hours. Tuesday afternoon. Not many patrons, a couple regulars came and went, a few small parties for lunch, but still a nice, bright atmosphere, homey, spacey, televisions but nice decor, not trying too hard to be anything. Service was extremely professional in the midst of also working on some lights or something, I can’t quite recall. Beer list was more extensive than I had expected, I think 8 or 9 taps including the wonderful Cobain’s Double Dark IPA. During a hectic, 100+ beer journey through Michigan the Cobain’s finished second only to CBS for me, so obviously I was impressed. After some other ratings I was expecting to be blown away by the food. Pizza, soup, and a chicken salad were all good, to be sure, but nothing more than I hope to be served anytime I sit down to eat somewhere. Still a very nice package deal compared to lots of breweries/"brewpubs" in MI though. Definitely recommended.

In Kalamazoo for business and drove to Hastings on the way to Grand Rapids. Very glad I did. Easy to find location in the middle of downtown. Steert parking. Remodeled building with brewing in the front and bar on right. seperate room with tables for food. Friendly staff. Good sampler set pf nine beers and the owner let me try them three at a time. Good drinkable beers with two very good beers. Good upscale lunch menu. i had the Calanari Po’ Boy, Excellent. Well worth the trip and I will make it again.

This is a cool brewpub/restaurant located in the small town of Hastings, MI. It was pretty quiet when I visited as it was just after opening -- no one at the bar but a few other parties eating lunch. The 3 beers I tried on tap (Hopnoxious, Double Dark IPA, and May Bock) were great. The food is excellent here too (I got a salad with chicken and pecans which was very good). A nice, chill atmosphere and great beer to boot. A must stop if in the area.

Loved it, loved it. loved it.... The beer is very good... IPA is what I wish Founder’s was serving... nice centennial hop aroma and perfectly balanced malt. Double red was really nice... high quality beer coming out of this place with attentive service and good food to boot.
