40 Large country pub just over the M42 from Brum. Quite a soulless place these days, which no longer takes the Whitworth Ales beers. The beer range is pretty pubco bland unfortunately. Nice big roaring fire though. We moved on quickly. |
64 A recently refurbished country pub which assumed it's original name at the same time. The place has thankfully kept much of its original character, unlike many other refurbished bars. Good service and excellent food. They have ten taps, including four real ales and regularly rotating guests. At the time of writing (August 2012) they were serving both of the ales from the newly opened Whitworth Brewery, which is the main reason I paid them a visit. Well worth the trip! |
