Now closed along with the rest of the village. Assume COVID has brought carnage to this once great drinking oasis.

Off the main road in an attractive and pleasant part of the village sits this nice cosy old fashioned Belgian bar. Has a few tables outside which face the Church and the cobbled street or if you prefer the courtyard outback it’s leafy and relaxing. Owner is friendly and charming. Beer list isn’t groundbreaking but it’s solid. Came here after a day out in Poperinge and had a Hommelsbier and a Filou. Probably the best bar vibe in Oostvleteren although check out Molenhof for fab food and a great beer list. Inside is a nice cosy interior space which is popular with the locals.

Small, but cosy bar near the church. Possibility to sit outside as well. Small, but decent beer list. Very friendly owners, nice atmosphere. Good snacks to eat before going to the Struise.

This once excellent locals cafe has reopened in 2023 as a restaurant with an expensive and pretentious menu. It is no longer possible to visit for a drink. Shame as this used to be one of the best cafes in W. Flanders.

Old bar / restaurant, think the have a few rooms aswell, Old wooden tables, beer posters, etc, infront, restaurant to the right, and a small but nice beergarden to the other side. We sat in the garden for a few beers. Very limited english spoken. Beers served in matching glasses. Beerlist is standard locals and some other Belgiums.

Cool bar! Not for the beer, but just because of the bar! Their homebrews really suck :p

Café slash bar slash restaurant slash gasthof just a short walk from the old school house with the De Struise shop. Very inviting ambience, nice hot room on a cold January day. Service was friendly (once we got a new waiter - the first spoke neither English, French nor German, apparently), food was good and filling and the beer selection very decent.

Rather small bar but very good service and food. Small selection of local beers. Not bad.
