tapefuzz	3 Lefty's Big Brekkie Breakfast Stout 22oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a tiny beige head. Aroma is bacon, coffee, roast, and little bit of oatiness. Taste is maple, coffee, dark chocolate, and some roast. A little bacon in the finish. You can feel the oats but they only poke through into the taste as a lingering presence. Medium body. Aroma is lots of smokey peat with some toffee underneath. Taste is initially sweet with caramel, toffee, butterscotch, and light oak before peat takes over. Medium body. Low carbonation. AirForceHops	3.9 Lefty's Wedding Daze Stout 16 oz. can purchased at Julio's Liquors. Fuller tan head on top a pitch black liquid. Real nice aroma of chocolate, roasted barley, and mild ash. The flavor is a direct mirror of the nose. The body is full with a creamy texture. Wonderful body and texture. ABV is hardly noticed. Very nice classic (non adjunct) imperial stout! AirForceHops	3.3 Lefty's Wicked Sticky IPA 16 oz. can purchased at Julio's Liquors. The hops are grapefruit, citrusy and piney. Low bitterness. This beer is sweet at the start, with light bitterness in the middle with some caramel sweetness starting to take over the IPA. Texture is indeed sticky. The alcohol is completely hidden and overall it has no major flaws. Drinkable. Saturday, December 23, 2017

AirForceHops	2.8 Lefty's Doc's Double Whammy I.P.A. Chalumeaux with this 16 oz. can share, thanks T.j. The pine resin is pretty bold upfront with the spicy rye in the base of the beer. Crystal malts and large amount of caramel are here in abundance. After it warmed up a bit the alcohol was also noticed. The his really could use some work. Slipstream	3.1 Lefty's English Style India Pale Ale Orange pour with a fluffy head. The English invented IPAs, but the contemporary English style IPA is not very popular. It’s a category in the beer judge program but not in RB. This seems like a good example of the style. Light caramel malt, a bitter finish - a little too bitter, and a sweet, fruity aroma. Slipstream	3.6 Lefty's Graham Cracker Porter Pretty plain bottle and it pours like a Coke. But things get better from there. It does have a nice graham cracker flavor, with lots of malty sweetness, some cola, and no unpleasant notes. It tastes a bit like a bock. Hops add a touch of pine around the edges. Medium-light peach toffee orange biscuity sweetness with medium citrus earthy pepper bitterness in dry finish with almost a hint of smokiness [edit: someone else said "tea notes" which seems pretty accurate]. ClarkVV	3.4 Lefty's Mystery Box #4 Draught at Ginger Man Boston, 3/31/17. Strange dark copper-chestnut appearance is glassy with a beige head atop showing moderate-to-low retention. Potpourri, deep juniper, wintergreen and finally spicy, dank galaxy all sit on a strange specialty malt backdrop which adds an almost earthy, wood-like character (or maybe that’s just more raw hop). I wouldn’t call this overly juicy, though once you get past all of the weird notes, there is certainly some guava-pineapple. Warming proves beneficial, as it does soften up and light cherry and mango emerge as well as a sweet, honey and vanilla-like maltiness. In the mouth it’s very dry, given to the specialty malt, yet has a chewy enough texture on the backend to prevent it from getting husky/astringent or too given over to the bitterness (of which there isn’t all that much). Cherry, orange rind, mandarin oranges, wintergreen, dank, leafy, spicy galaxy and more all whirl about and it’s tough to know just what to make of this beer. Every sip starts out dry and somewhat bland but the flavor crescendos drastically in to a much more sweet and juicy finish. Weird. Intriguing. Will try more Lefty’s to get a better handle. bbbeer	3.9 Lefty's Wedding Daze Stout Very dark brown with medium brown head. Aroma toasty malt, wood, coffee, caramel. Full body, somewhat boozy but not unpleasantly so.
