Liberty The Kush
Can smell and taste the hops. The 7.3% alcohol explains the strong taste.

Liberty The Kush
Pours amber with a small head. Nose shows caramel, resinous hops, spicy notes and pine. Flavours include more spicy, piny and resinous hops by the truckload. Sweet clean malt follows in abundance.

Bottle. Clear amber with a loose inch of white head. Aroma of oranges and their blossoms, melding into grilled oranges and toasty notes. A little pine. Perhaps slightly lighter in body than expected, with more light bread and crackers than toast and crusts. Lots of citrus but it's all very seamless. Again, a little pine creeps in towards the fairly bitter finish. But it's bitter oranges than linger. Hops are lovely rather than punchy. Harmonious and very good.

Big citris pine nose and dank edges and big fluffy head on clear golden beer. Serious hop bitterness and pine resin upfront. Big and bold yet still smooth creamy and balanced. Lasting malt base. This is a great IPA.

Liberty / Hallertau Haterade
Bottle from Malt Traders on 16 September 2017. I'm glad that I shared this bottle as I think I would have struggled to get through it on my own. This is a mish mash of beer styles all mixed into one and I am not sure which style dominates. Big chewy beer.

Liberty Sauvin Bomb
Poured from a 500ml bottle. A good IPA from Liberty Brewing Co. Pale golden in colour with mild floral aromas and a gentle taste. Contrary to the descriptive "hop-explosion", this is more of a hoppy smooth-landing. The flavours and aroma are there, but they are mild and don't pack a heavy punch, which isn't a bad thing. While very tasty and definitely worth a try to make up your own mind, the Sauvin Bomb doesn't make my favourites list.

Store bought on Queen St, Auckland , New Zealand , thanks to Zach. Bottle. Pours a clear rusty orange gold color with a large loose beige head. Nose is deep sweet citrus, and pleasantly so. Taste is sweet citrus with softer pine and resin. Finishes on the sweet citrusy notes, light ending. Quaff Score 7 / 10 7-3-7-3-17

Tap (The Catfish, Melbourne). Classic sample of very good, hoppy Black IPA. Full od hops with resin notes, roast, dark malts and medium, resin bitterness. Refreshing, light in overall, drinkable beer.

Liberty The Kush
Tap (The Catfish, Melbourne). Clear, golden colour. Aroma is malty with resin and citrus notes from hops, intense and aggresive. Medium do high resin bitterness, intense and aggresive, full od hops. Malty body with delicate booze at the finish so bitterness seems to be higher. Nice IPA.

Restrained aroma in a crystal gold pour. Hop forward balance with a big fruity body and crisp clean bitter finish. The pick of the Malthouse's 2017 West Coast IPA challenge (in my book at least).

Thick resiny body carries the grassy bitternes, the sweet fruit and pine right from front to back without being too sweet. Very good.

Tap at Beer De Luxe, Fed Square, Melbourne. Poured a hazy straw colour with little life. The aroma is yeast, grapefruit citrus. The flavour is moderate to light sour with a fresh, crisp, funky dry light spice, tart grapefruit citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Clean, fresh, crisp and with a real kick. Great for a taste but not for a session.

Tap at Petition - I love sour IPA's and always make a beeline for them but this was underwhelming from go to whoa - not much sour - no funk - very tongue drying probably the hops - indistinctly fruity but not grapefruit - two dimensional brew - I don't hate it just don't care about it.... next!

330ml bottle. Pours a orange gold with a solid white head. Aroma: pine, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango notes. Mild malt aroma. Taste: pine, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, mild caramel malt. Mild peach flavours. Thin bodied. Moderate carbonation. Moderate to high bitterness. Complex flavour palate, a bit over bitter for my liking. A tasty full flavoured IPA, but don’t think i will rush back to have this one again.

Liberty Oh Brother Pale Ale
Pours a nice bright golden colour. Mine was probably a rather old bottle because I ended up with mountains of pillowy white head filling most of the glass and a bit of an overwhelming yeasty flavour. Aroma of pine, spice and yeast. Flavour has a lingering yeast flavour but the hops broke through eventually. Refreshingly fruity pale. I'd like to try this again because I'm reasonably confident I got a bad bottle ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
