Santa Clara Valley Brewing Heart's Delight 2015 (Apricots)
Beer Camp on Tour 2017. Cloudy golden-orange beer with a small white head. Plenty of apricot on the nose. Slightly floral, some lemon, yogurt, and oak. A touch of yeast and leather, too. Plenty of juicy apricot flavor here. Pretty sour, but not over the top. Has a nice yogurt and leathery funk. Pretty nice.

A nice balance, not overly hoppy or bitter. Some grassy notes, a tiny bit of tropical fruit, then a somewhat dry finish.

Santa Clara Valley Alviso Mills Hefeweizen
Can from Total Wine in San Jose, CA. (Stevens Creek). Pours translucent orange tinged gold with a large, foamy white head. Aroma has banana. Not getting much clove. Med body, almost. Flavor is good on banana, but for me it's weak on clove. Decent drink. Mild clove burn. Very mild.

Santa Clara Valley Loma Prieta - Rye Barrel Aged
Waxed bomber from Bobby's Liquor in Santa Clara, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Nice aroma of dark malt with rye whiskey. Full bodied. Lots of smooth/slick dark malt (It's Imperial Oatmeal). Flavor is smooth, burnt malt with a lot of whiskey and a good amount of rye spice. Chocolate too. Made think of the old Jello pudding for a moment. Silly, cause that didn't have rye! It's not really complex, but the flavor combo is quite tasty. Bottled 12/07/2016. But it was stored on a dark shelf in Santa Clara, and seems quite well preserved. :)

Tao at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Tropics, mango and peach aroma. Peach is prevalent on the flavor. Opaque with yellow-grey. Small white head fades to a collar quickly, but patterns down glass well. Nice juicy finish.

Santa Clara Valley Loma Prieta Imperial Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged
Man I can see what they're trying to do here but they didn't quite pull it off. The aroma is fetid and almost putrid the the mix of The Malt and hops and yeast with the Bourbon Barrel gives it this sickly and nasty. It really cast a shadow over the flavor that didn't do the beer any favors. It's a Pity have because it could have been much better.

Santa Clara Valley Loma Prieta - Rye Barrel Aged
Wow very interesting beer. It first I was amazed and super impressed and then I wasn't quite sure how to take it and then again I loved it. It's very complex with characteristics of the Rye whiskey barrel and also silky smooth from the oats, thick and Rich from the chocolate malt. What a velvet hammer.

Santa Clara Valley Electric Tower IPA
Medium orange amber body with a small white head. Vegetal aroma with a hint of pine. That follows directly into the taste along with a bit of pineapple. Alcohol bites kind of hard for 7.1%, but that might be a bit of the hops kicking in. Bitterness sits on the tongue and stays there and not in the most pleasant way. Fumey alcohol and more bitterness in the finish. Overall, this is kind of muddled and unbalanced, but it's not horrible.

Deep amber red with light khaki head. Props to this beer for being 10% and showing NO signs of that (I’d have guessed 7). Does drink big for a red with a deep malt profile and aromatic and bittering hops as well, but no heat. Pretty nice overall.
