Aroma is sweet, herbal, candy, nettle, hedgerow, hints of beet and berry. Taste is syrupy sweet, with a light spicy edge. Moderate body, sticky syrupy mouthfeel, quite lively carbonation. Very sweet slightly spicy in the finish. Carbonation is that of a soda beverage. Overall not the greatest. I was expecting more of a beer but is tasting more like a pop or fizzy beverage. Pours hazy pale golden with no head. Some chunks in there. Aroma is ginger root, that's it. Flavor is ginger, sugar water, and some hops, I suppose, though they're overpowered by the incredibly spicy ginger and massive amounts of sugar. Served over ice, its a great accompaniment to spicy dishes, BBQ wings, or fried foods. Add a splash of lime for added refreshment. If not for the random country tick I would have skipped right past. I will not begrudge people riding new trends like alcoholic root beer or ginger beer. However it needs to have a reason for tasting less appealing than its nonalcoholic cousins. Aroma / Appearance - Cloudy rose gold liquid offers a container for the overactive carbonation which bubbles like a soft drink. Crisp dry ginger dominates though a trace of vanilla manages to counterbalance it marginally. Mostly it is a ginger based package of warmth. Flavor / Palate - Spicy ginger becomes overpowering after just a few sips. No alcohol is present which makes it tough to fall back on. This becomes especially true towards the end as it becomes increasingly more one dimensional. Give it a pass unless you find a cheap (relatively fresh) bottle. Friday, September 30, 2016

Och jag gillar det. Problemet är att det knappast går att dricka upp ens en flaska på 33 cl alldeles själv, så mycket ingefärshetta är det. Å andra sidan kan jag tänka mig att till rätt mat så skulle den göra sig alldeles förträffligt. Men som sagt, gillar man inte hetta i ölen och gillar man inte ingefära, så bör man avstå detta.
