I’m part German, part Irish, and all drinker. I have had all kinds of beer, from bargain basement Milwaukee rubbish to super designer monk-brewed Belgian micros. I used to be more of a beer snob, but my tastes have kind of changed and I prefer something crisper and lighter than the Guinness (still love it though) that I used to quaff endlessly. Some of my favorite beers are Stag (yes, really), Guinness, Pyramid Apricot Ale, Schlafly Hefeweizen and Pale Ale, Paulaner Hefeweizen, Schofferhoffer (sp?), Beck’s Dark, Pabst Blue Ribbon (yes, no joke), Delerium Tremons, Left Hand Milk Stout, Hobgoblin Ale, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, Wexford Cream Ale, and Molson’s Canadian. I liked Heineken a lot when I drank it in Europe, but it sucks in the states. I’m not joking at all about Stag and PBR. I really think they are good, crisp, easy-drinking beers - a type of beer that is more traditionally American - especially Stag. That’s some good stuff.
