UPDATED: JUL 21, 2023 On the road from Oostende to Bremen, 21/7 2023. 33 cl can from a gas station near Gent. Vedett’s usual design with vertical stripes. This time in black, red and white. Pours pale yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with grass and citrus. Light touch of bile. Sweet pale malts, bread and straws. Lemon. Weird off-scent of vomit. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is quite dry. Quite flat but with a decent bitter bite. I an not too crazy about the bile.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2023 330 ml bottle from a small shop in Brugge, Belgium. Drank from the bottle. Standard pilsner aroma with some sulfur smell. A very generic pale lager flavor with no skunky notes. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness. A decent beer, especially on a warm day.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2023 On Tap version Got this one at Beer Republic Bangkok and this is ok. This one is clean body, medium mouthfeel, good balance, good finished, not bad when you comparing with other lager. Tasting are grainy from corn or maybe rice and some of malty , medium piney and bitter and some of spicy and earthy a little bit from hops but good one. Not bad.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2022 getrunken als Vedett Extra Pilsner, was auch besser passt, da es ein Pils ist und kein Blond, aber offenbar kennt man in Belgien keinen Unterschied... Es ist ein spritziges, klassisch industrielles Pils, das man in Massen trinken kann, aber nicht allzu tief geht.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2022 Vedett Extra Pilsener straight from the can on a train trip; hops, malts, grass, hints of citrus and apples with a clean, dry and crisp finish. Nice.
