COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with Tomahawk and Simcoe hops. Viven Imperial IPA came from the westcoast of America but is brewed in Flemish style and gives a great result. It will make the beer lovers heart beat a bit faster. An adventure for your senses. Amber coloured with a thin off-white head, Viven Imperial IPA is a good hoppy beer with citrus accents. Fruity nose (peach and pink grapefruit) with floral flavours, recalls a forest (spruce) in the early morning. The hops are prominent. Viven Imperial IPA is pleasently bitter.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2023 Bottle @ home. Dark golden body under a nice tan head. Aroma has malt, toffee, ripe citric fruit, marmalade and hint of oranges peel. Taste is sweet malt, toffee, citric fruit and fine bitterness. Fine body with long lasting sweet and bitter aftertaste. Nice old school IPA with a Belgium twist.

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2023 Decent IPA, well worth its money! Have one with a meaty dinner, or max 2 after dinner. Gorgeous thick head, lasts decently long. Dark orange color, hazy. Fantastic aroma of citrus, lemon zest. Also picking up some fresh herbal notes of lemongrass, sage, eucalyptus. Strong bitterness, intense hops. Both dry and tart, reminds of grapefruit. Fresh, warming, pleasant strength from the alcohol. Medium-to-fullbodied. Long aftertaste. Recognizable IPA-characteristics, brings to mind double and triple IPA. Strong in flavor, the unapologetic bitterness makes this a beer that perhaps doesn’t suit every occasion. Would go very well with some tender, juicy meat.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2021 Rond zoete geur, warm, maar niet overheersend. Smaak van hetzelfde, maar met flink citrus aanval, die uitmondt in flinke bitterheid in nasmaak.

Martinsh (2862) - Crewe, Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2021 Bottle (well out of date !) from Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours a hazy rich chestnut brown with a small cream/yellow head. Bottle conditioned, so gets gradually clousier. Floral hops to the fore in the aroma, along with honey and peanuts. In the mouth, marmalade jumps out at you immediately. Traditional hops are close behind, and they gradually take over. Hops remain in the finish, and some of the alcoholic strength comes through. Very nice and dangerously drinkable !

rumore (4504) - Rimini, ITALY - JUL 28, 2021
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2021 Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours reddish blond, medium transparent, with fine white foam, limited. Aroma is clearly honey and floral, also hoppy/resinous. Body is average, with a little sticky, with average carbonation. Taste is a nice mix of intense sweetness and bitterness. Final is bitterish and spiced too.

Goldbarren (5544) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - APR 10, 2021
UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 Ein belgisches Imperial IPA, also ein speziell starkes -bitteres- India Pale Ale.
