COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2024 Aroma is coriander-pepper spice with banana. Taste is banana bread with cloves. Finishes with peppery hops but not in a overbearing fashion. Medium to light body and carbonation. Really good wheat beer - one of the best I've ever had.

nosajhongkong (271) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2023
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2024 0,5L bottle bought at Sainsbury's, Colwick, Nottingham. Aroma: Strong, refreshing and distinctive ester aromas of banana, clove and phenols from the weizen yeast. Moderate maltiness of light bready and grainy notes. Light to moderate floral and herbal hops. Appearance: Pours a hazy straw to golden colour with a very long lasting, foamy and thick white head. Good retention with moderate lacing. Taste: Moderately strong banana and clove flavours from the yeast. Low malt flavours of bready, grainy and doughy notes. Light malt sweetness with a low hop bitterness of floral and spicy flavours. A very balanced yet distinctive taste. Palate: Medium body, with a dry and spritzy finish. Moderate-high carbonation. Texture is quite soft to almost creamy. Has a distinctive banana and slightly sweet floral aftertaste. Overall: The benchmark of German Hefeweizen - excellent, distinctive and refreshing. It is always a treat to drink it, and appreciate the efforts and skills that were put into mastering the crafts. No wonder it is one of the oldest breweries in the world. Pairs well with Char Siu rice, too.

beer-yum (3705) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 3, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2023 Enticing wheat aroma in a cloudy golden pour. Alluring banana bread body with a spicy finish is pretty much what the doctor ordered (n a wheat beer).

AlexKP (19) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - SEP 23, 2023
UPDATED: APR 27, 2024 Amber and cloudy appearance. First taste is cloves and fullness, spiciness and then some banana. Good length and depth. And always feel satisfied. Not bitter and always refreshing. You can see and taste the care put into to this beer after each sip. Could drink this all day, and night.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2023 Eerst fris zoet. Daarna licht zuur en een neutrale afdronk. Dit is een top biertje voor afkoeling en verfrissing op een warme dag of na een goeie inspanning
