UPDATED: APR 7, 2023 Trübe orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malzig, rauchiger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig mit Raucharoma und Schinken, fruchtig-säuerlich nach bitteren Früchten. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2023 Das Abraxas gibt sich im Glas getrübt orangefarben zu erkennen, die minimalistische Schäumung kehre ich mal lieber unter den Teppich des Vergessens. Mit einem prägnanten Aroma von geräuchertem Schinken, Lagerfeuer, grüner Banane und einem Hauch von Äpfeln bekommt man ein recht komplexes Geruchskonstrukt geboten. Geschmacklich kommen im ersten Moment fruchtige Momente von Zitrus und Aprikose zum Tragen, darüber hinaus überrascht eine schmackhafte und recht ausgeprägte Rhabarbernote. Doch augenblicklich tritt der Rauchgeschmack überlagernd in Erscheinung und lässt sowohl die fruchtige Süße als auch den Rhabarber ein Stück weit im Hintergrund verschwinden. Allerdings gilt es festzuhalten, dass der rauchige Einfluss bei weitem nicht die Intensität der allgemein bekannten Rauchbiere erreicht. Und so schließt das Abraxas eher säuerlich denn rauchig ab, was jedoch äußerst passend wirkt. Die Textur ist sagenhaft cremig, es stellt sich sogar ein richtiges Süffigkeitsgefühl ein. Eine wundervoll mildrauchige Lichtenhainer Weiße mit ausreichend Volumen und mit erstaunlich hohem Lauffaktor! Genuss im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes!

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2022 (Can) Orange-amber body with a small, quickly vanishing head but a steady stream of bubbles continues. Malty aroma with lots of smoke; toast, funky yeast; chemical/rubbery. Medium-plus body; oily mouthfeel. Flavor has a nice tart-sweetness to it; smoky finish that last.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2020 330 ml bottle. Unclear orange with a small head. A lot of smoky notes, ripe pear, some bacon, lemon, grapefruit, some sugary notes, green apple, Harzer cheese. Dry acidic sourness, umami, minimum bitterness. Medium to light bodied, watery texture, soft carbonated, dry acidic and smoky finish. Very complex and balanced! Great!

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2020 Bottle, 14 juli 2020. Accidentally rated this as Freigeist Abraxas at first, corrected om 18 juli 2020 thanks to Zlotta. Color: Lightly hazy light orangish amber, white head. Aroma: Malty, smoked meat / smoked bacon. Taste: Wheat malt, subtle smoked meat, subtle caramel and grainy notes. Moderate sweet, light bitter, weak lactic sourness.. Quite smooth, dry-ish mouthfeel. Somewhat more bitter and dry at finish. Nice one, unique taste, nice complexity.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2020 330ml bottle, thanks Sinh4 for this! Unclear orange, no head. Aroma has a light lichtenhainer smokiness, malty. Taste continues with a gentle smokiness guiding you throughout, soft malt with a tart fruitiness just within reach. Quite enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Pierwsze zetknięcie z tym stylem. Piana zerowa, w sumie nie ma co wspominać. Kolor ciemno żółty, trunek mętny. Aromat w przewadze nuty palone, wędzonka, lekko kiełbasa, szynka, ale również brzoskwinia, zalatuje też popiołem. Smak ciekawy balans pomiędzy wędzonką, a wygładzeniem laktozowym, mamy tu kiełbasę, zanurzoną w owocach, czyli nie ma jakiegoś ataku zwędzonego, a ładną kontrę słodów i laktozy. Zaskakująco pijalne.
