COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this ale only with the famous sake yeast No. 7 from Masumi Sake in Nagano, Japan. On advice from Masumi’s master brewers we fermented this ale very slowly at low temperatures to bring out No. 7’s fabulously fruity character. This is a beer, but has some flavors found in a sake. A great combination!

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2021 Aroma of overripe fruit. Taste of raisins, overripe fruit and sweetness. Sweet aftertaste that fills the whole mouth for an eternity. Really good beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2019 Bottle in 2011 or 12 with Pat, pours an amber orange with smaller sized head and not much lace. Notes are heavy booze. I guess you can pull some fruit, candied sugar, aggressive sake, and malt out of it but its insanely aggressive and warming. Glad to try it but way too hot for me.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 Nice beer with a lot of sweetness, dried fruit and woody notes( likely from the aging).

Bottle - Vintage 2009 - Sweet, herbal, booze and sweet spice. Cloudy gold. Sweet, light starch and sweet fruity notes. Complex and hard to describe, but decent.

Red Horizon is almost a liqueur. It is fruity sweet with notes of peach, passion fruit and tangerine. Lovely warming alcohol with full body reminds a lot about cognac. Not the boring and cheap cognac, but a really nice and soft cognac / armagnac. It can (and should not) be simply enjoy a very long time because there really talk about a masterpiece.

Reddish orange color, aroma had some alcohol, orange fruits and spices. Some malt in the body, more tropical fruits and spice, quite a lot of apricots. The malt gives off some nice sweetness, possibly some molasses here also along with plums, all stone fruits. Like a barleywine.
