Inviting sherry nose, licorice and roasted, coffee notes and dark fruits and berries. Lingering, and smooth full bodied. Complex, well-balanced and like a dessert

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2019 Got a bottle from doghouse and found it slow to grow from go to an explosion of joy. Possibly the sugar or the alcohol or both. Bit sickly sweet towards end but happily drank

Small light brown slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish funky, brett, soil, bloodlike minerals, alcohol, very overripe fruits, dark malts, dark sugar, bark, licorice, pine needles, harsh hops. 14Mar2018 Dark roasted malts, some floral hops, burnt hay, straw, light chocolate. Hazy, very dark brown, no head. Light bitter. Dark chocolate, burnt malts, fragrant floral hops, bit of soap, burnt toast, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Very nice, outstanding given its age. Bottle shared during AB:1 - AB:25 vertical tasting at BrewDog Shepherds Bush - thanks to madmitch76!

pours unclear dark brown with a thin beige-isa cap offering minimal retention and lacing. sweet soy sauce, asian oyster sauce, molasses, very minty herbs/hops - or what remains, some acidity from roastiness, purple residues, peppery and earthy grinds, minerals. low carbonation, medium to full body; sweet and salty herbal-toasty finish. like a too old of a black barleywine. obviously past its prime (duh) but there is still a hop presence in this super dense oxidized liquid.

Keine Karbonisierung. Flacher Beginn mit starken Malznoten. Geringfügig röstig, eher muffig hopfig. Später leicht schokoladig, trocken bitter, moderate Herbe. Sehr trocken. Trockene Früchte, oxidiert. Naja... 9/7/8/8/9/8

Bottle @Craig’s (Abstrakt tasting). Pours vary dark brown, no head, no carb. Nose is purfume, cardboard, grass. Taste is slight raisins, cardboard, oxidisation and bland.

Bottle at Craigs. Pours deep burgundy black with no head. Aroma is heavy caramel. Taste is heavy caramel, raisins, dried red fruit, cardboard.

Mörkt rödbrun. Doft av tallbarr, kåda och mörka bär. Mycket fyllig och vinös (11,2%) smak med choklad, toffé, en liten syrlighet av bär, soja och en stor avslutande beska. Ja, vad säger man? Så otroligt komplex och doft- och smakrik att det trotsar all beskrivning.
