On tap at the source. Pours penny copper with beige head. Nose is roast grains and some caramel. Taste is caramel, grains, nuts and a bitter smoky background. Body is medium. A decent ESB at best.

Cask, darker esb pour, dark amber. Its sweet and toffee-like not a huge fan of this esb style but the yeast character is absolutely spot on, very light herbs.

On tap at brewpub. Spicy toffee aroma with some faint earthy hops and dried fruit. Clear ruddy chestnut under a lacy, off white sheet. Sweet toffee flavour with some nuts, earthy hops, and medium bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bier finish.

Draft. Dark copper with large beige head with nice lacing. Aroma of toasted malt and caramel. Medium/light body, malt sweetness, caramel, and light earthy hop bitterness.

Tap at Fitgers. Rich orange amber pour. Spotty white head. Earthy and grassy hops. Malty. Not bad.

Draft. Deep amber body with a foamy off-white head, lasting. Aroma of sweet caramel, toasted grain. Lightly floral with hints of lemon peel and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Starts with caramel sweetness that surrenders to a lingering bitterness.

Tap - good size thick head, nice dark copper color, earthy hop aroma and flavor with a nutty malt backbone, smooth finish from the nitro ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at ABR. Faint barrel aroma, neutral base allows barrel through. Light body.

Pours a nice dark ruby amber with a lasting frothy head. Scent is a nice roasted malt with a little caramelized sugar. Taste is a pretty smooth bitterness with a little malt backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
