Slight fogginess to the light golden pour, frothy snow-white head stcks around the whole time. Aroma has some pear-like fruitiness, a touch of light spearmint. Pleasant pale ale flavor, light citrus undertones, a touch of coriander spice, some spearmint notes in the back end. Decently thick mouthfeel.
bigcat03 (746) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - NOV 12, 2022UPDATED: NOV 12, 2022 Can poured into a shaker glass. Hazy gold with a huge, foamy white head. Aroma is light citrus and pine. Initial taste is much the same as the aroma. Fades to pine and a hint of caramel malt. Body is a bit watery and average carbonation. It's fine. 6-3-6-2-13
p0rkch0p (395) - Excelsior Springs, Missouri, USA - OCT 22, 2022UPDATED: OCT 22, 2022 Pour from can is fizzy straw with thin white head. Dry and hoppy at first blends to melon tropical fruit. Seems more straight up IPA. A bit of a bite on the finish. Nice for some variety in the fridge but not my speed for a session.
Bitterbill (3241) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - AUG 18, 2020UPDATED: AUG 18, 2020 cans, best before November 11th 2020.
Pours a clearish lemon gold with a very healthy head of foam.
Quite the hoppy nose with a lot of citrus..grapefruit..sweet notes of something like pineapple but I doubt that is what I am smelling. More likely, caramel malt.
Citrus grapefruit up front, no signs of pineapple or caramel, definite toasted malt taste to my palate. I could also describe the malt as earthy.
Excellent mouthfeel.
Solid APA.
piraat83 (161) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JAN 19, 2018UPDATED: JAN 19, 2018 Pure gold, foamy white head. Hoppy and citrusy. Goes down clean with a nice slight hoppy/piney aftertaste. I only had one can, but I’d like to explore this beer a little more. A solid IPA
cheap (8841) - Land of Taxes, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2018Push start! YEAH! Drank this wannah be IPA right from the can, I can tell the color on the rim is pale yeller, clear. Taste is big dull IPA hops all the way thru. Yes, citrusy on the back end but big dull blast up front. Come to think of it, smell is perfumy sweet dull hops as well, you know, like this hoppy beer has been aged a bit? heheh, the date code is 12/17, just made it in the freshy category. In the middle its annoying hop preservatives. Hey, if this is not pale clear yellah, I owe you one. BTW, if its a hop rocketed APA, wouldn't than mean IPA? Just asking, better reconsider this dull IPAs style, HAH! Cannot appreciate the IPA style in general, sorry.
balloonbuffoon (1125) - - DEC 7, 201712floz can, BBD: 01.28.2018, $1.75 unit cost, nonic glass. A deep golden APA with a large forming head, and a lemon-herb aroma. There are some chunks in suspension too. This is all about showcasing piney-herb hop flavors through a body that is fairly light and not overly bitter when compared to others in the style. It may be be average considering all things, but I got a bit of soft spot for this beer.
Beaver (2370) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 201712 oz can, drink by 10/21/17. Pours hazy golden orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is sweet vegetal malts with some fruit.
The flavor is sweet crystal malt with a little biscuit and lots of citric fruit and a medium bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a decent fruity pale.
mvp (289) - Harper Woods, Michigan, USA - NOV 26, 2017Pours lemon yellow with 2 finger white head. Aroma not too strong but nice. Lemon flavor that is well balanced.
beer_rookie (1126) - Arkansas, USA - SEP 12, 2017Pours an orange color. About two fingers cream colored head. Good retention, okay lacing. Semi cloudy. It looks good.
Aroma is citrus peel. Citrus hops. A little floral. A touch of melon. Some malts, maybe a touch of honey.
Taste is more of the same. Well balanced, neither sweet or bitter, it goes back and forth. Fresh citrus and citrus peel. Slight honey, light pine resin. Solid malt backbone.
Mouthfeel is light medium bodied. Well balanced. Finishes lightly bitter. Light resin on the finish.
Overall maybe I'm a bit biased, I love the can. No, it's pretty good. Its enjoyable and it's done well. Yes, I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again.
