COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

Jabah (2555) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 7, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2019 This is more like a hoppy APA versus an IPA. Fresh hopped though, which gives it a smoother mouthfeel, plus the fact that it just isn't that malty. Well balanced, but worth nowhere near the full price tag on this. Even at half off on clearance felt like was slightly pricey. I like Left Hand, but going to stick with their standard beers bottled in 6-packs from now on. Bottle is slightly old so that could have lowered the rating somewhat.

NikkTwist (6126) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Mostly clear deep gold with a thick off-white head. Bit of an odd bird. Grassy. Watery. Lagery clean finish. Rain-soaked grass clippings. Cracker malts. Hints of peach, pine, clove, and clementine. Different from the standard wet hop IPAs.

22floz bottle BBD 01.21.2017 (paid $4 because it’s a little old). Consumed 04.03.2017. A copper colored IPA with a large head that falls to create a plateau. Orange zest and lavender combine to create a soap-like aroma. Body is full, and leathery taste has a harsh bitterness. Brewed to be drunk fresh, so it could be marginally better. I prefer a greater hop to malt balance, this beer lacked malt character.

Pours a dark golden with an ample eggshell colored head. Grassy and very spicy nose. Spicy, rye, cinnamon, clove, grass, and berry(?) flavors. Weird IPA. Not in a good way. I was waiting for a while on trying this one and I’m disappointed.

On tap. Pours a dark copper color with a nice head and good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, bit of pine and grain. taste of grapefruit bit of malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, crisp clean with a nice subtle hop feel. Enjoyable beer.

Hazy, orange color, medium white head. Sweet fruit aromas, grapefruit and oranges. Pine and citrus hops. Taste is very mellow. Sweet flavors that are poorly balanced by the hops. Slight hop flavor of pine and grass. Short, light bitter finish. Maybe you should drink it fresh too.

(Rating #6835)

BBD 1/13/16. Clear amber pour with a dark ruby cast. Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and retention. Outstanding nose of orange and light pine over biscuit coupled with a bit of earthy spice. Light body with a texture similar to that of water but coupled with an outstanding oily slickness. Superb carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice burst in the finish. The flavor profile is very good. This is a hop flavor focused beer with moderate bitterness that is balanced with toasty biscuit and caramel. Like the nose, orange dominates with pine and spicy elements in the background. Along with moderate bitterness in the middle, caramel makes a strong appearance. The finish is semi-dry and a hint of alcohol astringency arrives over a lingering slightly sweet rind/pine bitterness.

StefanSD (2449) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JAN 10, 2016
Bomber. Pours copper with a big fluffy off-white head that has good retention. Aroma of wet pine needles and a trace of fresh grapefruit. The taste, likewise, is more piney that citrusy and set in a light caramel malt base that is slightly sweet. The palate is medium, finishes sweet. Overall: Very easy drinking IPA, good stuff.

22oz bottle pour from home with a best by date of 1/13/16 (one week from review). Pours a light reddish color with nice fluffy head. A solid beer...not bad...but not mind blowing either.
