UPDATED: JUN 2, 2023 Draft at Briergarten. Pours a clear amber-brown with a finger of khaki head that slowly settles into a thick, uneven ring and film. Notes of toasted malts, nuts, earth, tea, and caramel. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a toasty, malty mouthfeel. Very good.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2021 Pours clear mahogany with a full, light tan head. Aroma is caramel, nuttiness and roast. Taste is caramel, moving to light almond and roast. Finish is caramel and roast.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2019 Can - 355ml. Pours a dark brown body with an average, lasting, off-white creamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with nutty, woody, and brown sugar hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries woody, nutty, chocolate, and grainy notes. Ends with a good sweet/woody finish. Enjoyable.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2019 12oz can thanks to Weihenweizen pours out dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is nice light sweet chocolate some nutty roast. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate roast notes and some nut.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2019 Can from Weihenweizen: pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is lightly nutty, mostly malty, with some carmel with gentle hoppiness. Not very sweet or very bitter. Well balanced and pleasant to drink.
