I bought this can directly at the brewery, close to my flat, in Renens, not so easy to find. I tried this can relax in my room hotel in Paris, perfect to sleep and make a wonderful dream. In my opinion, it is a good porter, close to a stout, classical not a " massacre au 2122" like some imperial stout that you go directly to the voie lactée or singing at high voice a poem of Victor Hugo but it is a nice black beer, not so far that a fuller porter. I drank it too cold, best before 01/2018. Firstly the color is a powerful black body, normal carbonation, white and brown foam. The taste is well balanced, roasted malt, coffee, ashes and mineral, dry finishes, hop, at the final, you can get these aromas of vanilla and oak but I think like another comment that you don't really notice the barrel, some dark chocolate, liquorice, simply a good one for love stories.

Thank you for sharing Antwerp Untappd Crew! Sampled draft @ Swafff 2017! Black, little head. Nose is cheap cacao, mocha, umami, herbal, poor cacao. Taste is basic cacao, chocolate, too umami, licorice, sugar, too sweet,... Classical Irish Dry Stour profile, good in that aspect I suppose, Rum barrel is lost on me,... Body is cacao, mocha, powdery, umami,... Decent to solid for a dry stout but a BA Porter?

Black color with a big frothy tan head. Good lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and an average carbonation level. Decent mellow sweetness. Coffee, fruity, toffee, some spices and bready flavor. Nice tasty beer.

At Zurich Bier Festival 2017. Pours dark brown. Aroma of coffee, liquorice, low aroma. Body is medium, dark fruits, little sweetness, lively carbo, juicy and smooth. Palate lingers on fruit. Okay.

canned; from the brewery - black beer with a dark beige foam left; solid roasted notes of coffee and chestnuts; low carbonation and a creamy palate; medium-bodied, quite dry, gently bitter; shy notes of rum in a finish where notes of coffee and ashes dominate
