UPDATED: NOV 20, 2023 12 ounce canned 05/17/23; labeled with the Pale Ale alias. Pours clear orange-copper with a lasting ring of foam. Nose has toffee, earthy bread, and a touch of orange zest. Tastes the same, plus some tea leaf at the beginning and then a bit of white pepper at the end. Light-medium bodied with medium-plus carbonation and a dry finish. Kinda faded hops but still tasty. Part of a TF 12 pack variety box.

From Jul 2008 I got this in a trade with TATTORSO. Thanks Jeff! It pours a hazy orange gold with a 1 finger head of foam. The smell is a nice mix of caramel malt and bready malt sweetness and some piney hops. Good nose. The taste is yummy. Good bready malt up front with a goodly amount of hops both citrus and pine but not too much as I think it's pretty nicely balanced. More sips in and I'm finding this very drinkable and quite tasty. The mouthfeel is a little thin but not too thin, and the carbonation, I think, is on the light side. Nice piney/citric finish that leaves a pleasing aftertaste. Quite good stuff and like I said, easy drinking and the head retention and lacing were more than adequate. Very nice brew overall and 1 that I'll enjoy again because I have 2 more bottles, thanks to Jeff. ;^)

Aroma. - bread malt, caramel, hoppiness, and citrus. Appearance - clean orange with a large off-white head. Solid lacing Taste - large sweet malt and stiff bitters, some juicy citrus as well. Palate - medium body, texture is approaching oil status, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Look - Dark orange. Weak pour lead to thin, off white head. Lacing. See through as it warms. Smell - Light, hoppy dank smell. Earthy. Light citrus. Taste - Very good for a lighter beer. Dank grapefruit. Bread. Earth. Bitter on finish. Feel - No carb bomb. Doesn’t stick to tongue. Smooth. Overall - I hear they stopped bottling this for Yum Yum? Bring it back! Very good for abv.

Tasted from draft. Pours a clear Amber with off white head. Big time hop aroma that is citrus fruit and pine. Taste is surprisingly not that bitter as expected from the aroma. Mild to moderate bitterness with moderate sweetness. Some toffee and bready flavors with a citrusy and pine hop flavors to balance. Very sessionable. As usual a great beer by Three Floyds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
