pindolaire (641) - SPAIN - APR 1, 2024UPDATED: APR 1, 2024 10'2%ABV.
KevinReddirt (1812) - Midland, Texas, USA - MAR 2, 2024UPDATED: APR 20, 2024 I have a 33 cl bottle obtained late last year from Finest Belgian. My first experience with the brewery, I hope it goes well. I have my New Belgium globe glass that should work well with a strong dark Belgian ale. But then, about any glass would. The appearance is a dark caramel brown in the body and the head is a creamy, fawn tan foam. I have to say the nose is appealing, it carries stewed dark fruit, bread and yeast. And the drink, well, it is better than the nose. Ripe dark plums, grain, black raisins, leather, sorghum molasses, malt, red cherries and a touch of hard candy. I am too long between heavy dark Belgians, this one stands out for me. And bottle conditioned it appears, I like that too.
