UPDATED: APR 9, 2024 On tap at The Beer Cellar-Glen Ellyn, IL. as a 5 oz. serving to a small snifter, showing a clear, deep burgundy color, with a fluffy layer of tan/pink tinged froth, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was extremely fruity, with dark cherry, pleasant yeast spice, and jam-like sweetness. Medium bodied, the taste followed similarly, adding some cherry skins, alcohol, mellow tartness & tanginess, and moderate bitterness.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2024 Helder rood bier met een donkerroze 2-vingerdikke schuimkraag van gemiddelde structuur die snel inzakt. Ik ruik een een volle fruitige kersengeur met een klein beetje vanille op de achtergrond. De smaak barst eveneens van de kersen, maar geeft nergens de indruk dat je cassis aan het drinken bent. Dit wordt ook ondersteund door het alcoholpercentage en de tamelijk volle body.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2024 Una cerveza color roja, con unas notas muy marcadas a cereza, no soy tan fan de estos estilos, pero debo decir que esta estuvo bastante bien.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2024 Pours deep red, pink hue to the head. Aroma of Bakewell and marzipan, nice rich flavour with cherry sweetness to finish.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2024 330ml bottle from Asda @ 7% ABV. Deep cherry red in colour, with a tight, off-white, head with pink flecks. Sweet, black cherry and almond aroma. Flavour was also sweet upfront, with even more cherry character, before some malty depth leading to a finish where the fruit was more tart. A bit of a novelty, but pleasant enough.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2024 Bottle from Morrisons. Pours a dark red with a nice beige top. Big cherry aroma with fudge, almonds, sweet bread. Taste has a fruity, somewhat tart and syrupy cherry. A touch of almond and caramel. Somewhat boozy although my version was 7%. Smooth mouthfeel. Not bad, certainly quite tasty.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2024 This 50 cl can came from some shop in Bruges on our visit there late last summer. I can’t remember which one. Sitting on the front porch on a an unseasonably pleasant afternoon, I open the can and tilt it into a Delirium tulip glass. The sight is a cranberry colored body with a thin head of pinkish white foam. The nose leans toward cherry as best I can tell. A drink supports that. I get slightly sourish cherries, sweet otherwise, with perhaps a bit of grain. It reminds me of Kriek although I am limited in my sampling of those. With the 8% abv and the cherry flavor I am more reminded of the fruit-flavored malt liquors I have tasted through the years. Not a great beer but enjoyable in its own way.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2023 Colour nice but no head. Not much nose but get slight cherry. Artificial cherry on front of palate . Nice round warming winter feel . UPDATED: OCT 8, 2023 Duft af Kijafa med bitre mandler og dybrødt flygtigt skum. Smagen er som ædel kirsebærvin af sure sorte syltekirsebær og marcipan/mandeltoner. Frugtsødmen er frisket op med en god syrlighed, en frisk karbonisering og masser af sødme og lækre nuancer i en lang eftersmag..
