3 Ringwood Fortyniner (Cask) Cask @ Ringwood Brewery. Pours a caramel amber, off-white collar. Rich toffee nose, continues to taste alongside some gentle marmalade fruit notes, brisk bitterness. Fine. Thursday, December 7, 2023

3.1 Ringwood Boondoggle (Cask) Cask @ Ringwood Brewery. Pours a generally clear blonde, white head. Sweet malt aroma. Smooth buttery flavour profile, pale malt, bready. Decent fresh at the source. Thursday, December 7, 2023

3 Ringwood Razorback (Cask) Cask @ Ringwood Brewery. Pours a deep clear amber, off-white head of foam. Aroma brings caramelised amber malt, a suggestion of dried dark fruit. Flavour profile seems centred around the same sort of thing, good bitter bite. Ok bitter overall. Thursday, December 7, 2023

3.3 Ringwood Circadian Everyday IPA 500ml bottle from Ringwood Brewery shop. Pours a clear gold, white head. Aroma brings a pleasant citrussy whiff. Moderately hoppy, soothing citrussy air to taste, mild herbal afterglow with a cereal base malt. Ok. Saturday, December 2, 2023

2.8 Ringwood Razorback (Cask) Cask at the Red Lion, St Peters, 24/11/23. Clear amber with a good sized lasting beige head, full glass lacing ensues. Nose is caramel, biscuit, sugars, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises caramel, sweet edged, brown bread, sugars, light berry fruit notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. This was in decent condition but it just comes over very 'caramelly' and lacks balance ... last third of the pint became a bit of a chore to finish. Saturday, November 25, 2023

3.4 Ringwood XXXX Porter Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some nuts, mild chocolate as well as some liquorice and mild toasted notes. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a rather strong burnt sugary element to it. Quite roasted in the aftertaste. Sunday, May 28, 2023

2.1 Ringwood Boondoggle (Bottle) Lots of estery notes, mainly red apples. Apart from that very watery with a light toffee touch and a near to non-existent bitterness. Drink up and forget. Wednesday, March 15, 2023

3 Ringwood Boondoggle (Bottle) Das Boon Doggle Golden Ale kommt fast ohne Schaum ins Glas.

Super Bier! 10-2022 Saturday, December 3, 2022

3.8 Ringwood Old Thumper (Bottle) (UK) 500ml bottle brewed in England at 5.1%. Clear copper-amber with an ample, decent-duration head. Some red berry fruitiness and cookie-dough malt in the aroma, with more subtle blueberry and chocolate touches. Modest carbonation, faintly creamy robust body. Chocolate and cookie dough malt, a light hedgerow prickle to balance. Faint and indistinct berry fruitiness, best likened to bramble perhaps; disappointing compared to the aroma. Decent sweet yet rounded beer, but pretty simplistic and mild in strength of flavour to go with it. Still, it has a retro style to it that should go down nicely for someone seeking an 'old-school' (well, a few decades old) pub flavour profile. Friday, November 4, 2022

3.7 Ringwood Circadian Everyday IPA 500ml bottle brewed in England at 4.5%. Clear gold with a very generous, OK-duration head. Grapefruit and nectarine mellowness, perfumed yet fruity in the aroma, sweet, with pale bready malt beneath. Lowish carbonation, refreshing smooth body. Fruity, mild nectarine, peachy, grapefruit-tinged fruit syrup, a little leafy hop character underlining, very faint bitterness just about keeps things becoming unbalanced. Bread malt merely supports and tries to go unnoticed. Pleasant fruity number, and fairly characterful, but very one-dimensional. Friday, November 4, 2022

3.8 Ringwood Fortyniner (Bottle) 500ml bottle brewed in England at 4.9%. Clear golden-amber with an ample, so-so duration head. Breadcrust malt and leafy hedgerow berry meets apple skin hops in the aroma. Moderate- carbonation, fair body. Sweet brown bread dough malt, a little herbal honey blending with hedgerow hops and a touch of red berry and apple skin in the finish. Nice mellow sweet and dry balance. Surprisingly good; benefits from being a somewhat darker 'golden ale' than is typical. Still a bit sweet, as most in the style are for me. Friday, November 4, 2022
