Flat Branch Honey Wheat
Sampler at the brewery. Very clear light golden white some lopsided white foam. I smell sugar and wheat. Some honey in there, too. More honey is tasted and it is out front. Floral and light fruit notes. Wheat flakes are tasted, too. This is not a great style but it is a nice version. The honey adds a nice sweet and organic touch.

3.8
Flat Branch Mosaic Wet Hop
Sampler at the brewery. A delicate looking white head that leaves thick lacing on the glass. A clear golden beer that has moderate carbonation rising. The aroma and flavor are both of that unique Mosaic hop. Big tropical fruit. Pineapple, mangoes, melons, etc. Citrus. Juicey iindeed! Malts add some nice sweetness and are Pilsner like. A nice showcase of a tasty hop and it is well balanced for that.

Flat Branch Irish Red Ale

Flat Branch Brown Ale
Sampler at the brewery. A blotchy beige head sits atop an amber beer that is hazy. Rich sweet malts and floral notes in the aroma. Those are tasted. Spices include cinnamon. Minimal bitterness but some hops are tasted. A bit of something like sweet potatoes. This is sweet and pelasant. Filling and substantial, too.

Flat Branch Green Chili Beer
Sampled at the brewery. Clear golden and it has a bigger herbal chili aroma. Green chilis. Flavor is sweet and sugary to begin with less chili than is expected. They are far from over powering and I think they are just right. Malts being so prominent are nice. I’m not a fan of pepper beers but like this one quite a lot.

Flat Branch Honey Wheat
Even weaker than the hefeweissen. Mild spicyness, but mostly a bland malty musty sweetness. Light and forgettable. Tried for the first time back in 2010 at the brewery.

Flat Branch Hefeweizen
Weak hefe. Missing the boldness you'd expect of a standard hefeweissen. Banana and clove are apparent, but much too understated. Watery mouthfeel when I expected something with more slick body. Tried for the first time at the brewpub in 2010.

Flat Branch Green Chili Beer
It's hard for me to rate chili beers. They're not my favorite, so my ratings should be interpreted with that in mind. The chilis are super spicy, but they're definitely super apparent, both in the aroma and the flavor. Vegetal and musty. Tried at the brewery for the first time in 2010.

No banana, No clove. Not a hefeweizen flavor at all. Just kind of a light yeasty wheat. Meh. Disappointing all around. Not quite as bad as Schlafly’s butchery of the type, though!

Flat Branch Sorachi Ace Pale Ale
Nonic pint draft at the brewpub in Columbia, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is vegetal fresh hop, along with faint malt base layer. The taste is a nice blend of the vegetal, almost pepper spice hop along with the grain cracker malt sitting just below that. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation and vegetal dry softly bitter finish.

Flat Branch Oil Change Oatmeal Stout
This beer pours an opaque black color with a creamy medium tan head, and the aroma blends oatmeal, roasted malts, chocolate malts, and a hint of vanilla. The taste has a light malt bitterness alongside a mild sweetness with a roasy aftertaste. The palate fuses a thick and creamy texture, medium body, and a carbonation that is light but smooth due to the nitro tap.
