Paddys Chocolate Porter

Brewer: Paddys Pub and Brewery (Australia)
Style: Porter
Alcohol Content: 5%
Seasonal: No

Description:
Porter is a name that came into use around the 1720’s to describe a well hopped style of brown beer. Porter was immensely popular in London and abroad, dominating beer production up until the resurgence of Burton pale ales in the 1830’s saw Porters popularity wane. Paddy's Chocolate Porter is a classic revival of this unique style of beer, carefully crafted using a blend of five different malts, Kent grown Goldings hops and a true top fermenting strain of ale yeast. A dark roast, deep brown hue with ruby highlights and a thick tan head. Aromas of mocha coffee allude to flavours suggesting caramel, toffee and bitter chocolate. A highly drinkable, silky smooth dark ale.
