Trader Joe’s - Alexandria

Visited here on a Friday afternoon in late May '23 to pick up some beers for the weekend. Excellent suggestion for a Trader Joe's - a lot more than their store label beers and a few locals. Plenty of singles to choose from, lots of tall boys from around Virginia and a great find was a Maine lunch IPA. Like most TJ's - great prices. A bit larger than other Trader Joes', lot more selections of food items. Very friendly service.

Visited in December 2017. This supermarket was close to my hotel and I got to try the Trader Joe's beers, which were a mixed bag in terms of quality but very cheap, and a grapefruit sculpin, which came from a small selection of broken up six packs. The Harris Teeter around the corner was better.

This place is probably not adequate for your beer needs outside the small selection that is available. There are a few items that are worth stopping by - the Trader Joe’s anniversary beers prices can’t be beat.

The beer selection is a small part of the store, but if you’re there to do some grocery shopping or are around during the holidays to grab the already mentioned seasonals, it’s worth a stop by. The layout is strange compared to other Trader Joes locations, and the place is busier than your average location due to the higher density of the surrounding area.

Very small selection of commercial Belgian stuff, plus five Trader Joe’s beers, each one worse than the next. Can’t beat the prices, though.
