92 Sadly the store closed down a couple of months ago. Found that info on their Facebook page (after i drove there and saw the notice about shop closed). |
92 Exceeded my expectations because selection was beyond what the typical German beer store carries. Having said that, the vast majority of the beers were German. Owner was very friendly and helpful and we had a very nice experience there. Definitely planning a return trip. |
90 (Soon to be renamed Jochems Welt der Biere.) VIsited this oddly located place after a fun drive through the nearby mountains, and glas I did. I was left alone to skim through the beers myself at first, which I very much appreciate, only to get a super warm welcome after I asked for some recommandations. Not only was Jochem, the owner, happy to pick out his favourites, he immediatedly poured me some samples. After asking if I knew RateBeer, he proudly showed his best-shop price and we had a good chat on German modern beers. The selection itself is reasonably large and offers kloster-/privatbrauereien un to the tiny new brewers of American and intermediate styles. On top f this, the bottles are very reasonably priced. I’m not from around, but this must be the best shop in south-west Germany for sure. With the host that Juchem is, I’m sure it’ll only get better here too. |
72 Located in the outskirts of the town, the bottle store offers an impressive selection of beers. Most of them are German, though. Otherwise you can find a few lonely bottles of Belgian, Austrian and UK brews. The staff are friendly and competent, and this offsets the rather gloomy ambience of the shop, which is situated in an old warehouse and furnished scantily. I wouldn’t say it is the best beer store in Germany, but it is quite decent. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. |
96 Great place with a huge selection of German beers, also the new and upcoming is taken care of here. Very good knowledge of all the beers on the promises, service couldn´t have been better. Worth a detour. |
Wasans Getränke Oase is the best beer shop in germany. So much beer sorts, service, beer testing including, every time new sorts, and The Owner Mathias Juchem knows much from beer and brewering beer.
Ein absoluter Geheimtip wo es sich lohnt von überall her zu kommen. Come to Mathias Juchems shop and enjoy the time.

90 Awesome place. Owner is fantastic and friendly. Offers tastes of just about everything. Largest selection of Germany beers from all over. Small selection of beers from elsewhere. |
100 The best selection of German beer in a non beer area of Germany. You can´t get much better sevice and they will let you taste beers there as well.
The owner has really gone out of his way to get local German craft beers breaking away from the normal German beers. He still has the classics. |
94 Great place! Help is right there when you need it. Let’s you mix your own cases. Great selection including seasonals... |
94 Wonderful place to visit with a wide selection where you can buy by the case or bottle. A nice selection from all over Germany and even some harder to find beers that cannot be found other wise in rhineland-pfalz. The gentleman here are very helpful in answering questions and helping with your order and even bringing it to your car. Not mentioned in other ratings is this store has a nice selection of local wines as well. I will definetly be back when I finish my cases. Lastly was children friendly. |
