Dropped by when it was dead during the middle of the week. Open air. Beer labels on the left wall were mostly full(16 out of 20 available?), skewed towards hazies, but they did have a couple ciders. Maybe a more diverse selection elsewhere. Sidewalk seating, but I sat at the bar. Chill 30 something guy slinging beers was good company. Food was being prepped & the spices smelled awesome. Didn't know the vegan part till later, but the Korean tofu burrito was alright. Prices were okay for the area & he let me try everything first. Better ambiance than the most of the other mostly sterile local places, except Cash, that bar is dope. Cheers.

Very nice bar. About 16 taps, with huge descriptions on the wall. Lots of sours. Cool empty rare bottles on the wall. Great vibe.

Visited this place for dinner after drinking some beers at the Original Gravity Public House which is located next to it. I am not a vegetarian but I liked the food. Small place, nice ambiance. Around 20 taps (no half pours if I remember correctly). Some nice local hoppy beers available that were new for me (ok this was not something difficult since I come from Greece). There were bottles of Rare Barrel available (among other bottles). Good service.

I know, it's a vegan restaurant and since when do vegans enjoy things that taste as delicious as excellent beer? Well, these guys do. Got there around noon on a Tuesday. Long line but it moved reasonably quickly. Placed my order and settled down to some Port and Alvarado Street while I waited. Both very good. Then my food came and I found their bottle list. Narrow selection but at least half of it is cellared and there are some hard to find items on there. Wound up leaving with a lighter wallet, a satisfied belly and some awesome stuff to take home (heavy on The Bruery - got vintages of Chocolate Rain and Black Monday). Worth the trip.

Saturday at the end of May, in the door at about 11:20. Was there at about 11:00, but they weren’t open yet. Small place that is set up to hold a decent crowd. Nice big wooden bar. 20+ taps, including a number of meads. Which only stands out as odd because it’s a vegan place. But then again, way back in my vegan days I drank beers with honey in them. Nice and well priced food menu, food that I saw coming out looked pretty solid, and the stuff I got was pretty good as well, and portions were good, especially for the price. I’m amused that the slices of pie cost $3.14. Good crowd in here while I was in, and probably because it was before noon when I got there, most of the people were there for food not beer. But the beer list is good, nice variety with a styles and breweries. A good chunk are local, and then there’s some stuff from farther away. Good collection of bottles available as well, with a lot of Lost Abbey, Allagash, Almanac, Eclipse, Firestone Walker, B. Nektar, Cascade, and some others. Worth a stop.

You think you don’t like vegan food? You’re probably wrong. This little place serves wonderful vegan dishes that are flavorful and satisfying. Oh, and there are more than 20 taps. In a small location that doesn’t have a lot of tables and doesn’t really live up to the trendy web page, it’s still a great place for an afternoon lunch with a few rounds.

Visited here for lunch while on vacation in mid-August ’15. Funky little vegan joint in downtown San Jose with friendly wait staff and customers as well. Have about a dozen or so on tap, all high quality California stuff it seems, mostly local. May have had an import or two. I had something from Alpine and enjoyed it immensely. Looks like they had a wide selection of bombers and 750 mls of prety rare stuff as well. Food is all vegan, but was very tasty and quite reasonable. lunch combo of two items for only $8.A must visit if you find your way to San Jose.

Small patio area out on the sidewalk and some bar and table seating inside. Pretty small place, though. Kind of dark as well, but it smelled great (lots of Indian spices, it seemed).

Beer list is pretty solid with a lot of stuff from around the Bay Area like Altamont, Almanac, Cellarmaker, Drakes, Russian River, Sante Adairius, etc. And not all just their standard lineup, but some special releases. A handful of items from San Diego as well. Nice. All the beers are about $7, which is pretty typical these days.

Yeah, it’s a vegan restaurant. I think that’s kind of cool. But I guess I might be in the minority, particularly in the beer drinkin’ world. Gotta be up at the top of San Jose beer spots.

(Visited 11/2014): Good Karma is located in downtown San Jose on South First near Post. There are a couple parking garages nearby.

Outside there are a couple tables making a patio of sorts, and the exterior is painted olive green. The interior opens to a walk-up counter where food and drinks can be ordered. Beyond that a bar runs along the left side and there are small tables along the right. Lots of plants and large pieces of artwork. There is an antler chandelier in the back, and a large chalk board near the entrance that lists the beers.

The restaurant has around 15 beers on tap, featuring beers from mostly CA breweries like Almanac, Cellarmaker, Alpine, Russian River, Lost Abbey and Bruery. Some bottles from breweries like Fiftyfifty, Almanac, Deschutes and Crooked Stave.

Service on a weekday evening was good. Food recommendations were good and the staff were knowledgeable about the beers.

Full disclosure I am not a vegetarian therefore not an expert on the cuisine, but I visited with my sister who is, and I enjoyed all the plates we tried.

All in all this is a cool little restaurant to visit downtown with a very respectable beer list.

Visited that place several times and will probably be coming back, just because of trending craft beer selection. On our last visit, there was mistake in the bill, 10 $, and of cause not for ours benefit, I didn’t feel quite well with their simple "sorry" and in my eyes from good beer place it became sucks. Also, they were served flights, but not anymore for some reason - so need to consider that for the next time.
