It’s a shame this place isn’t around anymore. Max Lager’s had decent food and this place didn’t actually do any brewing at this location, but it made for a nice place to get some local brews while shopping.

Visited here in May ’05 on Memorial Day Weekend. Cheerful friendly service, spacious dining area, comfortable decor. Had about six or seven on tap - no style stretchers - but solid for a mall brewpub. Good food selection and tasty too. Stop by if you are tired of shopping.

We were here on a hot summer’s night, sitting on the patio, with liove entertainment performing on the adjacent Mall Courtyard, so the ambiance was perfect. In fairness, I don’t think I would be able to rate this nearly as high if sitting inside in the middle of winter....it’s then just a restaurant with a bar. There was a good selection (5 or 6) of their own beers, which I liked, but not much other beer....no crafts and a few macros. All and all, a fun summer place.

Max Lagers at the Village Shops Mall of Georgia. Has a sort of industrial feel with lots of brick, wood and primitive country style decorations. Good selection on the menu for fooo but only about 8-9 (?) beers available. Great service with the manager coming to check on us and even replacing an overly greasy grouper for my wife. I had the Texan steak cooked medium. Great wood fire flavor with lots of pepper. The Oktoberfest beer was just tapped this weekend so was very fresh and tasty. Will have to go back and try the Pale and other max lager brews.
