Visited on Saturday 13 May 2017. Bit of a weird review this one. We went to Tottenham for an "event" publicised by One Mile End featuring five breweries open on the day (some regularly open, some just a one-off/occasional open day) - Enefeld, One Mile End, Brewheadz, Beavertown & Affinity. This was the final stop. Affinity has supposedly been open from 1200-1700 every Saturday - although I note Leighton’s comments about it bering in a transition phase. However, I noted a Facebook event - Five Miles & Affinity Brew Co present Beers & BBQ every Saturday daytime. The opening times were given as 1400-2000. We arrived some time after five to find the gates to the brewery area closed - I could recognise the shipping containers forming part of the brewery from photos I’d seen earlier. However, there was an event in full swing at the unit next door. This was "Five Miles", which I learned is/will be a night club. The scene was somewhat chaotic as the place was only part completed, with building materials stacked around the place and building work actually in progress. I later learned that this was a "soft opening" bash, primarily for friends and family etc, for Five Miles. They had a row of taps in the, now common, "taps in the wall configuration" featuring some Affinity beers and some other stuff. However, it was not easy to work out what they had as, in keeping with the unfinished feel, there was no proper signage and just impromptu shorthand chalkings alongside the taps. I was told that the beer that I had - Hale Pale Ale - was an Affinity beer but I haven’t been able to find any reference to it anywhere. It was an enjoyable stop but, in short, I have no idea what this place will be like on a "normal" Saturday. Perhaps Five Miles will serve as the brewery tap during the day and transform into a nightclub later in the evening? Or perhaps it will just revert to the normal brewery opening arrangements? My scores are necessarily provisional at this stage and I’ll need to pay another visit when things have settled down. I’d say, for the time being, anyone thinking of visiting would be well advised to make some enquiries before doing so. However, Beavertown brewery is quite close at hand so it wouldn’t be a completely wasted journey if nothing is going on here.

A very simple taproom setup, as I gather these guys are somewhat in a transition phase - hoping to find a more permanent location in the near future. As it stands now, there are four keg lines, with beers available in 1/3 or 2/3. Very friendly service. Seating for about 20 people or so. Good quality beers presently, and quite excited to see what this brewery can do going forward. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
